I think we’re doing a thing next week.

Just got these in, time to see which is best for the trip.

Any pre-trip maintenance ideas? Probably gonna check/change/fill engine oil, diff oil, trans oil, steering fluid before the trip. Took one to CO/UT in December and everything was fine just want to make sure I’m not missing something before I put 6k miles on it in a week.

It was her idea both times haha. I think she enjoys it because it's legitimate time together, no phones/tv/work/school/family. Getting a little deep, but her love language is quality time so it works out really well when we want to go somewhere that involves a lot of driving.

That's awesome. My wife hates camping. I try to get her to go everytime and nope. And I'm fairly certain she would loose her shit wheeling.

Your truck is 3 years old, I wouldn't overthink it. I prefer to not do a bunch of shit right before a trip because it increases the likelihood of something going wrong in some cases. All I would do is change the oil beforehand and check tire pressure. If you're going to be going offroad, hit all your suspension with a torque wrench.

That's exactly what I did last time.. not sure why I'm thinking more about it this time than last.

Drove the 4runner into my backyard to weld on my panhard correction kit lol. Was super worried my landlord would show up for an unannounced grass mowing session or something hahaha

it was a bit tight and I unleashed a toolnado

not the prettiest, but its on there good. welded the inside too

Corrects the rear end geometry of the 4runners 4 link + panhard bar after lifting from this

to this. Axle is now recentered, left to right scrub on articulation is minimized with panhard bar horizontal, and corrects roll center. I've yet to drive it, but apparently it helps to reduce body roll
