Another thing I would ask is did you have any problems before the condenser and compressor went bad?

Have any of you guys tried doing a high idle switch? When im stuck in traffic, or parked, the only way I can get my ac decently cool (43-47F) is by revving up. I've cleaned condenser, radiator and swapped the fan clutch.

That is a bandaid for a poor performing system. High idle is good if you winch or need high electrical load at idle. AC, not so much.

How does that valve get so gummed up in a closed system?!

Has it ever had stop leak put in it that you know of? That stuff will kill an A/C system especially if any air ever enters the system.

i brought it up and he said my model you can’t. That little model filter isn’t in that line on mine it’s in the dash. Not sure what the difference was on the model but he showed me and it was in the dash so donno.

Well if we are both talking about the 2013 Tacoma in your signature and it wasn't modified with aftermarket components, then he lied to you. I don't think the Supercharger would get in the way. Your A/C Unit is exactly like images I posted.

The older Tacoma's late 1990's models you did have to go into them from the dash, but still didn't have to pull the entire dash out to get to the expansion valve. See below images for a 1999 model.

I believe yah, I’m not sure how much of the dash he took out. The entire job was 740 to include parts he didn’t charge for refilling it. He seemed pretty honest but maybe he was mistaken.
