After looking at some stuff the last few weeks I've come to the conclusion that I can't bring myself to buy a modern vehicle. Even for a DD.
So while I mull my shortlist options for a purchase after the new year....the new Grand Tour is on Prime to distract

Has a lot of good parts left. There is at least $4,000 in parts on this truck.
If been busy today tearing it down.

Is it the black box installed in every make and model since 2010 that turns you off modern vehicles? Cause that's what keeps me from getting one

I hadn't thought of that haha.
I'm thinking more late 60's to late 80's.
Coincidentally black boxes were pie-in-the-sky back then I'm sure.

Jfc. Friend of mine has a dad who is literally losing his mind to dementia. Dad Attacked his mom a couple weeks ago, got arrested, hospital yeeted him after like 24 hours. You’d think with an arrest record it would be easy to get him the help he needs. NOPE.

We are not prepared for the geriatric boomer wave.

My Dads 72 caddy eldorado would have been a great dd. Aside from the gas mileage, anyway.

Roughly 3x the displacement of my 3rz.
