I don’t understand that either. I purchased my Sony Bravia 65” because it advertised it does Direct TV and Direct TV advertised something that I thought would bypass their cable boxes at each tv. Can’t remember what it is called. But apparently I still need a box, just a smaller one.

I hate technology. I wish I had kept up to it. After I learned basic commands on the computers that had the printers instead of screens I gave up.

When I last did it, I couldn't justify the cost of Cat 6 over Cat 5e. Very few things are running 1Gbps...unless you are running servers in your house, you will be limited to the speed of the internet.

I ran cat5e as well in my house. At the time cat6 was double the cost.

Cat6 is cheap. @Mastiffsrule let me know how many feet you need and I can see what I can do.

Thanks. I don’t need much. I am going to call Windstream to come out again to tell me what I need and then buy it. Figure that is the easiest way to go. Thanks.

Inside the house a good wifi router should do. (I think) My issue was getting the signal from the street to my modem.

Just got Google Fiber. Just plug some stuff into some other stuff and did some stuff and it worked. <- figured this is somewhat related to the topic on this tread rn. I have no idea what a Cat5 or Cat6 is

Anybody know of a good place to get a alternator rebuilt? The one in my Chevy took a crap on me today.

I have never heard of anyone having theirs rebuilt. Usually they buy a reman from dealer or auto store. Or they sell the kit with brushes and stuff I think still?

Pretty common with the better built Alternators but after I posted that message I don’t think it’s worth getting a GM one rebuilt. I will just slap a reman one in from a auto parts store.

It's practically not worth it for any "factory" alternator these days. Some of those fancy high Amp aftermarket ones yes but just an OE can't beat the price of lifetime warranty parts store ones

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
@Taco18 you need 50 posts for BST. I'd suggest checking up on those rules.

Since it's named the Thot Yacht, I knew @McRib mom would try to ride it and there's no way in hell that wheelie bar is rated to hold her.

    Hey gang,

Hope all is well. I am getting close to making a decision on what I am doing with my truck. I originally leased my truck as a second vehicle. I have decided to buy it since I modded it and sold the rims to another member on here.

I put a spacer lift on it for looks when I got it. I use it very little. 1900 miles since Nov. It is 2wd. I want to do a real lift for longevity now since I am keeping and have decided on spindle since I need the height for my 33’s and don’t want to CMC.

My 2 questions I would like options on would be 1. I was actually thinking the 4 inch spindle and 2.5 inch coil that Maxspect has. There is no drop bracket needed on the 2wd spindle. I don’t wheel it, and just want to have it for fun when I drive it that 15 minutes a week. Or stick with the 4”?

2nd is about installing it. Any feedback on mainline overland in Charlotte? I have everything to do it at home, and a friend is a toyo master tech to help. I just don’t want to deal with it, plus then I would still need to drive to alignment shop. Or another shop that you recommend? A guy I know in Indian trail runs a body shop and has a tricked out keep, I may call and see who he uses.

    Thanks, sorry if long.
