Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! Looking forward to another day without rain!!

Retired life is awesome!!! If I could offer one suggestion to you younger guys it would be to find a financial advisor early in life and start investing now - even $25 a month is a start. We began when I was a young Army Captain and still had student loans to pay, a car payment and a 7 year old son. We started with $25/month and then added to that when I got a promotion or a longevity increase. The key was to start it and forget it - don't touch it. Over the years we switched financial advisors...several times...and currently have 3 different ones working for us. The time value of money, using OPP (Other People's Money) and managing your use of credit works.

Old guy advice turned off now.

I thought my email was jacked up with no TW notifications but come to find out no one posted since 8:55 this morning!! Where is everyone? It was busy at work today, non stop from 4 30 to 3 50. Oh well home now grub in my belly watching gunsmoke. Early to bed tonight.

 

Summertime doings, especially on a sunny, but mildly temperate day.

 

Not much exciting to report for the day. Mowed 2 lawns with a regular 42" rider rather than my usual 42" zero turn ...
S--L--O--W
90 minutes instead of about 40.
It was a nice day for mowing or a ride in the country, I did that too.

 

Just serviced a zeroturn mower in Bechtelsville…. 15 miles one way…. 150.00 … not a bad time to hang out with the kid and teach him something about business life …. Time to kick back and have a cold one …. We have to many techs out at the shop lately . Between vacations and call outs…. Wearing me out. I in vacation august 11-17 ….

 

I got the grass mowed and that was about it, I was being lazy today

Been battling a migraine for the past two days. I had to go back to the tacoma job I did on friday. The molding held the windshield up in one spot and didnt seal properly. Had to redo the job. Like I said before not a fan of the new Tacoma windshield design. Side moldings are too thick makes it hard to squeeze the windshield in. Anywho did that and came home and laid up. This migraine is kicking my ass. And allergies aren't helping.
