Yes, old machines need a sympathetic operator for sure. The giant 40+ year old forklift I had at my old job was like that, she just asked for some patience and a gentle hand and was willing to work all day. The only thing I miss about the job is that tired old 12,000 pound forklift.

It might have been something dirty/clogged in the carb. I sprayed some cleaner in it when I brought it to the garage, probably dumped some SeaFoam in the tank too. Today I dumped more SF in and filled it with non-ethanol, didn't miss a beat.

BTW - RE: friends -- you have us!

I have seen them on some of the Wright mower videos, they (Wright) say they are harder on the hydros than a regular tire. Tires have been the #1 problem with my zero turn over the years so I have watched the development with interest.

BTW: The day I can buy a new Wright Stander you will see a Culligan Water truck on the road to Hell.

Edit: I was actually talking myself into buying one -- got distracted and bought the truck instead.

yeah Wright makes a good mower. I was between that or my gravely. Gravely hasn’t let me down yet. Love it so far.

I never really looked at the Wright sit downs just the standers. I'm a bit mobility challenged anymore and the stander seems so convenient to get on and off of whenever there is an branch, rock, etc to move. The basic Wright Stander B is $6000.

Probably if I had to buy a mower right now it would be the new Hustler Raptor XD, seems like a lot of mower for the money and there are 4 dealers within 25 miles of me.

Nice clean truck by the way -- even if it is "brand X" on a Toyota forum.

I have been intrigued by them.

$60 for tire vs $400 for a tweel. I dunno?

Thanks. Sold my Tacoma for this. With my son growing I needed more room and pulling power for our atvs. Only reason I still get on here is this thread.

I still have my tacoma, but only drive it a dozen or so times a year it seems like. I come to tacomaworld for a bunch of threads that are in no way related to tacomas (this one, chainsaws, smoking meat, etc.)

I'm updating from a Tacoma to this. Massive 3hp B&S, rear wheel cable operated drums, foot brake AND hand brake, tiller steering so no dang spiral cable to mess with. Excellent articulation from the suspension and new fangled lights so easy to repair.
