it will tend to work it’s way to the other orientation, so if you don’t insert the first time fully, pull out and check it again. Man that sounds dirty

I had the same issue with the driver side, didn’t matter which way the c clip was. I ended up having someone else hit it with a deadblow while I held the CV perfectly straight and pulled it toward the truck at the same time, slid in like butter the first time. Oh and make sure you have the axle nut on to protect the threads when you hammer

I just grab the end of the CV on the wheel bearing side and utilize the axle like a slide hammer and pump it in towards diff.

It doesn't take more that a few pushes before it pops into place.

Driver's side is almost complete, just forgot to order an axle nut. Hawaii's having some barge issues so I'm waiting for the dealer to give me a call back. I'm at 3 hrs. 33 minutes so far, which is ahead of schedule from my last axle change.

In the meantime, I've been working wiring the ADD Harness and bolting the FJ Cruiser Transfer Case Shift Assembly. Good to make progress on those, shifting the transfer case made me pretty amped lol.

Thank you @Ricardo13x for answering my questions about the sensors on the FJ case.

I didn’t. I figured it didn’t matter since the seal to the engine isn’t airtight anyway. I would make sure the threads are clean tho. When I was threading the TQ to the flex plate, the rusty threads got a bit CRUNCHY and I was worried I was gonna strip something lol

Looks like you are making great progress.

I am now doubting your claims that you don’t know what you’re doing. Haha.

I am guessing from your pics you are big island?

What's a big island? Seems like a regular install to me? We are all on an island called earth in a sea of planets.

Well, in the Hawaiian island chain that people live on, there is as a very general matter: Kauai, Oahu, Maui, molokai, lanai, and big island. I live on big island, which is not at all the most populated, but the biggest geographically. So, just wondering if he is on my island. Maybe I could be of some help?
