All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Thought I would share this little tip, the same star wrench that is used for most chainsaws is also the same size for your rack.
Which works nicely for me, as I carry a saw but can never find the one wrench I need.

I think that’s only for the German saws. Those who use the Swedish models are rocking the flathead variant. Solid tip though, very wise to always have a saw and on hand.

It’s been a minute that’s for sure. Shamefully, I have not been out exploring much this year. We are slowly making the transition like @Built2Ride and going off grid. Sign me up for the possibility of doing a monthly ride and brewery though or even that tunnel up in TN if you haven’t already conquered that by now.

We talked about doing Nemo 2 weekends ago, but weren't able to work it in. I'm thinking that may be a weekend in the fall when the leaves are changing colors. But I need to find something else in the area to make it worth it....supposedly @synaps3 did it in his Honda Element before he bought the Tacoma.

I think most people go to Greer.

I have a lifetime alignment package from Firestone, so that is where I go.

Okay cool, I called Firestone because of the lifetime alignment package, but when I asked if they did alignments on lifted trucks the guy seemed unsure, He said they can only do factory specs, and neither of us knew if they needed to be brought back to factory specs. It's a four inch lift spindle so most of the geometry should be kept the same, but I genuinely don't know much about alignments.

Thank you! I think I have seen their 4runner at some shows, that name sounds familiar

Every time I call and inquire about potential work, I always get 2 month appointment wait times. Then I go to University Tire down the street, done within the day.

Ask your local Firestone store if their alignment guy is good with lifted vehicles. I go with Firestone and their lifetime alignment deal. Go twice and pretty much pays for itself.

Greer is awesome if you can make it out there, $50 alignments are a blessing, plus they're amazing at what they do.

Last one I got was at Antech motorsports, they did a solid job aftering installing new UCAs

I set up an appointment with Greer on Friday to finally get my alignment done correctly so I can stop rubbing on the inner fender liner.

Firestone will work on lifted trucks, but will tell you that you have to be within what their computer shows as factory spec. I don't know about a 4" lift, but I've had them let me into the work bay before to inspect before they took it off the lift. I'm sure you could talk them into putting it where you need it (if that falls outside of normal spec)
