From my home to Estes Park 8.5 hours. I figured it to be about 8 hours, at least that's what I recalled Omaha to Denver.
@OneGiraffe , good luck whatever decision on job opportunities.
The trip is a bit of short notice but that doesn't bother me much, just undecided because I've got good progress going on a project car and very much would like to see that done.
That plus I'd be more inclined for a camping adventure and I know James wife not the camping type.

I wanted to get a project car later this year but we had to blow a ton of money on house shit so that's been moved from the back burner to nowhere near a burner right now

1968 Corvette Convertible (majority of them were that year for some reason) 4 speed car, it's been modified with different/wider fenders years ago, still should be a fun car. Just more work than I intentionally thought it would be. Down the rabbit hole.
Be careful of those projects...
I've just had a long time desire to row through the gears on a old Muncie 4 speed muscle car. I probably roast the tires off it and send it down the road to new owner

I know what you mean... I have spent way too much on our house lately (new HVAC, added Solar, various repairs, etc.). It never ends.

Edit: I need to get the house repainted soon. $$$
