Out of the entire lot (electric and acoustic) only 4 were bought new, the rest are used and come from local marketplaces, pawn shops etc. I think half the fun is the search.

I have yet to play an ESP. I like there version of the Les Paul. Have checked them out many times at the shop. I more of an acoustic guy at the moment though. Summer draws me outside to play.

Totally agree. It's a challenge for me to find good stuff used locally at the moment. Shops looking sparce. I keep hoarding strings because of the steel shortage.

Yeah, I played a Classic 6 but have ordered a Prog 7. Counting down to January...

I was thinking of selling the ESP to help fund the strandberg. My wife said it's too pretty to let go, so I guess I have to keep it.

Some people like them. I don't understand the new E II line and where it falls. Mine is a standard series made in Japan from 2014. They are pretty heavy with a mahogany body, though probably not as heavy as a Les Paul.

Here is my HRF (Horizon/Forest) in reindeer blue. I never get tired of looking at it.

Don't let me fool you. Those 80's haven't moved since I blew a disc in December. Big weights aren't worth it any more, 35 has been a tough age with all the "wisdom" (ie-paying for all the stupid things I've done until now) setting in.

If I'm being honest, I only want a 7 string for brutal drop A djenting, but I rarely play that kind of stuff.

Luckily, none of them chew on anything they aren't supposed to. The blue one was falling asleep right across from my amp the other day when I was cranking it pretty good (for someone that plays alone in their basement). I'm either so boring she couldn't stay awake or so good that I lulled her to sleep.signal-2021-08-01-170211 (1).jpg

    I have 1 used acoustic and it’s because it’s a discontinued model.

I could see the allure if I wasn’t such a stickler for new instruments. I enjoy being the one to hear it mature and change, and putting all the little marks on it over time.

No diss at all, it’s just my preference

Except, the one I picked up and held didn’t have those darker spots on the bottom.

    Sexy as hell.

I have a custom 24 SE and replaced all the pots, switch, wires, and added SD 59 pickups. Transformered the sound.

The US ones don't sound bad though, but I found my import PRS to not sound good. Pickups where so mushy. The wiring kit with all the pots was only like $54 so why not. I like working on stuff though.
