I’m looking at getting my 2021 Off Road long bed flat bedded. I won’t have any use for the stock bed so I’m looking to sell it but am not finding anything as a point of reference for pricing. Any insight is appreciated!

Not sure, I haven't seen what new ones cost. maybe if you part search a bed replacement might help gauge a little bit. I would rough guesstimate $1k-2k if not more. maybe less if you wanted to drop it quick.

another option my dad has done for is 1 ton diesel trucks is the installer of the flat bed might buy it. *If applicable*

What flat bed are you going with? I'd love to do this someday, but they can be pricey!

car-part.com and search by model and part.

I'd guess around $3200-2500 for Grade A bed compete with lights and gate.

The nice thing about a long bed is it will also fit access cabs.

    I paid $1900 if I recall for a Grade A bed for a 2004 Tacoma back in 2018.

I have seen a couple come up for sale that guys are letting go of. I don't think you are going to get rich off it that's for sure. You would likely do better to part it out. I saw someone selling a bed off a 2017 tacoma with no tailgate for $700, with the tailgate he was asking $900. You might be able to part out the bed for a better profit and be able to sell the parts faster if you sold, tailgate, bedsides, flares, then the box

Be prepared to sit on it (store it) for a long time if you want what it's worth as your pool of buyers is very small. Most 3rd gens are going to have full coverage and going through insurance and collision center for major repairs. That leaves you the very select few that don't have insurance, beat the holy hell out of their newish trucks (most in this bucket are beyond caring about cosmetics), and folks fixing a salvage vehicle. Add to that, shipping/delivery- a buyer almost certainly is going to factor getting it to him/her in their offer.

Use it to build a taco trailer and then sell that.

Sorry but why would you want to spend all that money on a new OR and then want to rip off the box does not make sense to me. Why not look around for an older truck with a flat bed just saying..

Not worried about how I look, it’s about functionality for what I’m using the truck for. Gives me a lot more bed space for camping.

Traded my 4Runner in for a Tacoma specifically to flatbed it for camping. Cheaper to trade in for new than buy an older truck.

You could post this same dumb comment in pretty much every other mod thread. Most mods don't add value.

If it was me I would part it out. But if you dont want to do that I would figure out what the oem parts cost new, you can go to toyotapartsdeal.com to look them up, then total it up and knock like 20-30% off and list it everywhere you can think of.

It could sell right away or take 6 months.
