One of, actually the most senior mechanic out here is named Richard. For a long time everyone joked that it stood for, Save Time Ask Rich.
Rich is still here but is not on his tools any longer. Couple of good reasons, he still had a cowboy way get it done attitude, and they found a valuable spot for him in outage planning so we weren't putting the cart in front of the horse so often.

Learned 2 odd things today:
1) TIG torch threads are 3/8-32, measured it and thought it couldn’t be right, until google confirmed it.

2) there’s apparently a type of screw named a “cheese head screw”

 

So no one knows him personally and has only internet conjecture. Hell I don't know him either, but I am concerned for his well being. He seems to be a good guy. I know he posted some health concerns a while back.

I just hope he and his family is AOK.

 

I think Stanley Black and Decker still own Craftsman at the moment as Bain Capital bailed on Craftsman because the way the deal with Lowes Home Improvement contract was structured and the share price. I could be wrong but that was what was in the investment weekly paper at the time.

I’m concerned as well. All I have beyond his online contact is his address from when I sent him his gas hole for his new truck. Hope he’s ok.

Hey Guuuuys! Toe getting nervous about putting a battery back in this thing!!
What happened?
Just put battery back in and see if it passes the smoke test?

 

Would it be for more strength and Torque?

Lol, only thing I can think but doubtful unless I left a key on or something, but I always leave a battery maintainer on it. Battery go bad...
