First thing I did was read through the forums for some advice on first items and the first things I went for are the OEM Bed Mat, AVS Hood Deflector, Auto Ventshade AVS 194768 In-Channel Ventvisor Side Window Deflector, and haven't done so from factory, Window tint.

    Congrats on the Purchase...!

Ha ha, you guys are funny. Let me finish by saying the zipties prevent the bed mat from flying out when I go through the car wash. No kidding, the first time I went through our local carwash the owner just happened to be there when the power of the blowers literally "levitated" (his words not mine) the mat to the top of the cab when he reached in and saved it from tearing up his carwash. Haven't had a problem since........

I didn't know what the TSS model was when I bought my truck in December. Like others said, regional upgrade with the wheel and running boards and the little sticker on the back. Mine is still an SR with the upgrades

Hi Scotty ! I love the "TSS" look and I wouldn't change a thing. Who cares if its a "Regional" thing or not. I love the look of your pickup truck..... :burnrubber:

Thank you. Been wanting a truck for a long time and this fit the bill. Just go back and forth to work and every now and then down a dirt road. Haven't towed anything since i got it (although that may change when I buy a zero turn and small trailer) and I don't go mudriding or anything like that. My next plan is to get the bed mat and windows tinted. and BTW December 17 2020 i purchased with 6 miles on it, just rolled over to 5,500

I'm fairly certain that Tacomas bought from the Gulf States Region have used the TSS moniker to describe their port option package "Texas Sport Something" (not sure of the exact meaning) for a few years before Toyota Corp came up with Toyota Safety Sense. As I understand it the Gulf States Region group made a very shrewd business deal with Toyota way back in the early days when Toyota was trying to establish itself in America and profits from every Toyota sold in the region, imported or not.

Things to do... Bedmat (as others have said for same reasons, less the zip-ties, hand wash only!), LED lighting for the interior, TRD PRO shifter knob (I don't know why, just feels nicer in the hand). HID conversion for those halogens it appears you have, a couple hundred bucks for some top nothed HID's installed (and the investment is WORTH IT!) From there you can figure out what else you want, Suspension level/lift, Cap/Canopy, etc

    Congrats!

Love your truck but in my mind TSS means something completely different.
    This Shit Sucks, TSS
Definitely does not apply to our trucks but sounds better when i need to use it.

I had heard of the XP, but not the TSS. Thanks for the clarification...

Oh, now that makes some sense! I have seen other makes that have special "Texas" editions in the past, so that makes sense. Thanks!
