A little garage improvement - two new tool boxes! Finally, room for all my tools.

...^^^... Great looking kitchen ... I put that same sink (Krauss ?) in my last house and I really miss it.

Just be careful and keep people with big belt buckles away from it ... it will scratch on that extended-out brushed S/S front.

Did you have problems with your Krauss sink getting stained? This is my first Krauss sink and the first stainless steel sink that has stained like this.

...^^^... No stains .... however I used it very little as I sold the house when I finished remodelling the kitchen.

I would contact Krauss ... it kinda looks like some type of weld splash/splatter marks ??

We used to build 10 ga stainless steel water tanks for some of our fire trucks and I would see marks like that.

I did contact Krauss and they had a bunch of reasons why that might happen. They suggested scrubbing it with Bar Keeper's Friend, which does work after a bunch of elbow grease. I'm just disappointed that I have to scrub stains in a "stainless" steel sink. Stainless steel has different grades, so maybe Kraus is using the same stuff you were using on the fire trucks.

I debated getting white. Thought it would give a nice clean look. But my garage is as dirty as a politician, so black was the best choice for me. Heck, I've already spilled oil on them and they are barely 24 hours old.

Yesterday I swapped out the ~10 year old fart fan for my new one. After removing the original I saw the extent of "janky" that was the original hole. They threw in a joist support along 1 edge, cool. The 2nd edge was right up against a joist, not ideal since the fan needs a bit of overhang from the hole. The 3rd & 4th sides looked like someone back buttered some 3x10 pieces of drywall with spackle & slapped them up against the edge of the cutout in an attempt to reinforce the opening. It looked like half melted marshmallows, just clumps of spackle everywhere. The new fan brace wouldn't sit flush on top of the drywall so I decided to cut it all out & start new.

Came out nice, with the exception of my Helen Keller cuts that left a gap I'm unhappy with on the left side. Tape & mud will close that 3/16 gap, so I won't have to see it forever. New fan is wired always-hot & uses motion & humidity sensors to turn off/on.

I put those same Panasonic whisper quiet fans in both bathrooms and the laundry room. I love them. They're a major improvement over the noisy builder grade broan fans that I had. Although those did a better job muffling the fart noises in the bathroom. :ohsnap:
