    tell me about it....
    management decided to change our network settings for all computers in the office on Monday. new network domain. whole drawn-out process to reassign and reconnect every computer we own.
    someone didn't think to check the weather forecast and we had a major lightning storm come through. knocked out the power in the middle of the transition.
    several computers got screwed up. mine is fried. I was off Monday. dead in the water at home yesterday. went to the office today thinking I could do something more being there. ended up being part of the IT team today getting things back online.
    my computer is screwed. no idea what's wrong or how to fix it. most likely just replace it. but you know... supply shortages and all...
    back at it tomorrow

    Morning fine folks..

    Wife got surprised yesterday, I got a call a month ago telling me the wife could not wear blue yesterday. I prayed all morning she'd come out is some flowery apparel at 0600 yesterday morning.... NOT, blue from head to toe, have you ever had to tell you wife she can't wear something to work? OMG, she was pissed, she came out in all black, I told the boss about 1000hrs that I think it was a symbol of her attending my funeral after work..     Headed to the Sheriff's Office after lunch to watch promotions for my old division. Lieutenant and Sergeant get promoted up. Lieutenant is making Captain to fill my vacancy and Sergeant is promoting up to his spot. One of our detectives is also getting promoted to Sergeant to take over the squad. My retirement caused some beneficial ripples throughout the Investigations Division.

    @kamakazie_1 I bet your wife had a blast with Sheriff Ivey. I’ve met him a couple of times at FL Sheriff's Conferences I’ve attended. He’s fun to hang out with. He always has his bloodhound with him.
