The customer service I’ve gotten from ECGS is absolutely insane. They got ahold of Randy’s pulled some strings and I’m getting my diff back tonight fixed before they close. I don’t know anyone that can turn warranty work around that fast, let alone being on the East Coast.

that’s good to hear you’re being taken care of. That’s a huge plus for them since they are making it right in such a short amount of time

    When did you guys order?

Completely different vendor, but they ordered a new 4' wide barn door style Protech tool box with sliding drawer kit for my servic truck at work when I started back in April. It just showed up yesterday... Best part was when we went to put the drawer kit in the toolbox, it's 1.5" too wide and won't fit inside the box. :annoyed:

At the same time they ordered a brand new Miller 325 EFI welder/GenSet and it just got here 2wks ago.

I think he was late March, I was mid April. He said 18 weeks, and he's been pretty accurate. I also ordered my suspension mid April and that was supposed to be 5 weeks and I finally got a shipping notification for the fronts yesterday, who fuckin knows when the rears will ship. Not as bad a wait as Bert, but still ridiculous

59602121-47C1-461D-AD37-9C480D9E3D47.jpg Speak of the devil. My 13yr old shop monkey and I have it down Pat. On tear down we share the wrenchs back and forth while it drains. Then I stab the diff and hand start the nuts and he follows me with the little impact and torque wrench. While he fills the diff with lube I screw in the brakes and bleed them. Pretty well oil machine.

Anyone know of a preassembled axle/bearing/backing plate? Dorman sells them for 4runners/GX and sequoias but not Tacoma’s (wtf). Don’t want to mess with a press, so these seem like a good way to save time and money.

Uhh, which year t4r/gx do they sell those for? Your truck is an off-road model I'm guessing? So you've got the newer 8.whatever rear end?

Yeah I have the 8.75” rear end, so I don’t think the 4Runner/gx axles would work.

    03-17 4Runner/gx and 07-14 FJ.

    01-04 sequoia

Well suck me. Replacing the rear axle bearings was a royal cock sucker. :typing:
