Very quiet, totally worth it. I think they're rated .04 sones at 110cfm. Probably one of the best fans on the market in my opinion.

0.3 sones from a quick check on Home Depot. Noise is hard to convey via text. I've heard the Panasonics compared to "rustling leaves". I've got mine set to the middle power, which is 80 CFM, and the noise is only there if I'm standing still not talking.

Panasonic claims that ducting material size and type (rigid, simi rigid, insulated, ect) will affect noise as well, but if you've heard noisy bathroom exhaust fans and then listen to these you'll be floored with the difference.

One of our cats is scared of the smallest noises, so if its pretty quiet 'whisper' as they say, then it'd be perfect.

It appears Panasonic has updated their model lineup since I bought mine 4 years ago. Panasonic makes some with lights, heaters and some plain fan only models, which is what I have. Mine aren't setup for motion sensing or to run 24/7. Switch only, on or off.

This is the exact one I have in my Laundry Room:
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Panason...VF5/206110069?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US

These are the closest that I can find to what I have in my Bathrooms (I have 1 at 110cfm and 1 at 150cfm):
    https://www.lowes.com/pd/Panasonic-...CFM-White-Bathroom-Fan-ENERGY-STAR/1000616109
    https://www.lowes.com/pd/Panasonic-...CFM-White-Bathroom-Fan-ENERGY-STAR/1000971710

I looked for ones with a .4 sone rating or less and 110 cfm or better. Some of the larger rated cfm ones (150 or higher) will require a 6 inch duct, but you might be able to get away with 4 inch ducting. I had larger ducting installed when my roof was re-done to accommodate these fans, so I didn't have to crawl through the attic much when installing these.

Edit: Here's the 110cfm model I have that's been discontinued:

...^^^... We used to do "brushed stainless" (swirls) in our fire truck factory.

Do NOT do this by hand ... it will kill you ... lol ---> I can tell you this as an amateur "stainless brusher" .... you can take a Porter Cable and other small buffer wheel and put a light scotch brit pad on it with some comet (for heavy work) or barkeepers for fine work.

Think of it ... kinda like a bad paint job to buff out .... start our with light things (light pumice) and go to heavier as required.

This I can tell you for sure ... you can change the character (looks for the better) of an old S/S sink to your own "swirl design".

With a thick s/s sink like Krauss ... you can rework and rework it until you like it ... you need practice and have patience though.

I have a new house and in 10 months the s/s kitchen sink is coffee stained and I hit the bottom with some rubbing compound and an orbital buffer (scotch bite pad) and it looks great and has new swirl marks on it. I will do this every 6 months or so.

Another tip ... if you want your stainless sink to have that "silent sound" of a heavy cast iron sink and feel super solid .... take some 4" adhesive window wrap and wrap the whole sink bottom surfaces (pressing the wrap down firmly) ... you will be amazed on the change of sounds and feeling when you use the sink ... sounds weird but it really works. That Krauss you have will feel and sound like a 300 lb cast iron farm sink.

If you look on most sinks ... you will see a small adhesive patch of this to lightly deaden the sounds.

Your s/s sink is going to get scratched with use ... especially washing pots and pans .... you won't hurt it with a buffer pad and some light pumice.

I didn't see where it said how long the battery life is? And it seems like it will have to be brought inside to charge on a dock?

I've heard baking soda and dish soap work well for "polishing" stainless sinks.

Decided to sheet truss section of house roof and apply the peel & stick before starting to hand frame vaulted rafter section over kitchen end . Finished that up today .

Start framing kitchen end of roof tomorrow .

Nice. Clean job site. Having a clean job site is one of my pet peeves. Way less likely for someone to get injured and it just makes you look like a professional.

What's the ridge detail for the vault?

Harder for lumber to get stolen if it’s not laying around too. That’s becoming a serious issue around these parts.

    I agree

Structurally ? Its a 2 ply 1 3/4" x 16" LVL ridge beam from an interior seismic rake wall on interior foundation stem to beam crossing the opening in the exterior rake wall , free span is about 18' . Rafters are 2x10 on 2' centres with perpendicular and parallel 2x4 strapping then 1/2 plywood

    It’s a good thing!
Lumber has been absolutely nuts lately.
