RSI Smart Cap

My RSI Cap hasn't arrived yet. I don't understand this issue. Please explain. Thanks.

 

The slider window is opened from the bed, which I don't think is unusual for camper shells. However, it opens by sliding to the passenger side, meaning you have to go to the passenger side of the truck, open the passenger window and pull it towards you (or push back to center to close it). It would just be far more convenient if you could open it from the driver's side.

Does anyone know if a half bin mounted in the rear position still allows full use of the small sliding window?

Curious why you decided against table after receiving it?

 

I didn't want it In my truck all the time. I tow a small jeep trailer and It's easier for me to take a table and lay it on top of my Plano boxes. There is also two brackets that hang down that I found out about from a buddy of mine (he has a full-size truck ) that I would whack my head on. It's kind of small in a 5 foot bed already.

 

Makes since. I would likely do the same if I had a trailer as well. I plan do some kind of drawer system so I expect to likely never be climbing in the back of bed once everything is setup. I barely ever use my bed to transport anything so planning to go all storage in the back. I figure if I need to pick up and move something with my truck, I’ll just rent a Home Depot trailer or something.

 

Yeah I put my dogs in the back and they're both pretty good size German Shepherd's.

 

I feel you there, my 80# Pit takes up the entire back seat on our trips. Too hot in AZ for him to ride in the back so he gets his AC and truck hammock. Spoiled f***in’ dog but I love him. We’re are you located and how much are looking to get for the table setup?

 

Yeah the heat is a killer especially in a black cap you know. My dogs are better than people. I sent you a PM was some details.

 

I've ordered an RSI Sport Longbed but the local shop has not asked for a deposit or given me any real delivery date. He says it was ordered June 15th. I believe he ordered it but since this would be the second one they've ever sold I'm not confident they will be allocated one. What company is the biggest RSI seller? I assume they will get the most allocations. Has anyone heard of new RSI caps being delivered recently?

 

We are RSI's premiere North American dealer. The next batch of RSI 6ft Tacoma Sport caps are estimated to arrive in late August to mid September. After that, more are arriving in January. It's possible your dealer will be getting one from the August/September batch, but we definitely don't have insight into other dealers order or deliveries. If you'd like, I can find out if there are any caps available in this next incoming shipment if you'd like.

 

Same for the Canadian market?, I ordered a 5' EvoA in May, was told end of August. Is that possible?
