Rerouted the transmission kickdown cable, put on a new Dayco dynamic tensioner with URD idler pulley. Filled up the trans fluid, engine oil, power steering, and coolant,… and then I put it on the ground!

Has anyone else had difficulty getting the staked nuts off of the T-case flanges? I can’t get them to budge at all and I know I need to change the front output seal before replacing the gear oil.

Read on from here in my build thread. I fought with those flanges too. They're on there pretty good from the factory.

If you drive a lot keep an eye on your URD pulley, the coating they use is NOT good quality and will wear
out. These two pulleys have around 30k on them and are shot and the belt just slips.
The Center grooves are all worn down.
Pulley boys pulleys are much better quality but not the cool looking URD look.

If the red finish is gone then the pulley will start to wear fast

I would. I put a brand new rack in before I drove out to Moab to wheel and I had worn bushings by the time I got home. Nothing like doing a job twice.

I used this guide to do mine: And this method to break that nut loose. But I used an air impact instead of a breaker bar. I used a metal punch to unstake the nut as best as I could and let the impact eat the rest.

This is the method I was trying las night but I just couldn’t get it to budge. I have an air impact, but no compressor anymore since my most recent move. :( I’ll keep trying though, sounds like they’re really on there good.

Ah without an impact its hard because then you need to try to do the breaker bar and hold the shit still. Maybe an electric impact like @betterbuckleup has is in your future?

I think it just might be! I thought about using the Jack under the breaker bar method too but I have a feeling it’d be hard to hold steady and would just end up slipping off the Jack or off the nut.

jobbie job jobs... I’m prior military with a PMP certification and an active clearance working in a project management function. In Huntsville, that’s equivalent to having a job cannon that shoots you off into job land.

My wife is a Pharmacist and there’s a nice sized medical district here too, so she basically has a job cannon as well. Lol

I do make my way down to the Mobile/Biloxi areas often though because We have family down there.

I'm sure if you reach out to somebody in the Bama thread they should have an impact you could borrow. Or just buy a good quality one since it comes in handy, I've used my Milwaukee a shit ton and it's paid for itself already

True. I have the 1/2" Ryobi impact but I don't think it has the cojones to break that nut loose. It's okay for small jobs, but pretty weak breaking strength.

I'll keep an eye on it. The URD pulley came with the SC so i'm just gonna run with it starts to show signs or symptoms that it needs to be changed. I did look at the Pulley Boys pulleys and I actually prefer their look over the URD ones. Good prices too.

Designed and 3D printed an iPhone magsafe mount that goes where the airbag switch goes.
It's a 2 part design. One piece clips in to the airbag switch hole and has 2 hex nuts embedded in the back. The magsafe piece then gets screwed onto the clip. The actual magsafe is press fit in with a spot to route the cable to the back behind the dash. I wired in a 12v socket and used a PD3.0 capable (needed for magsafe fast charge) usb-c adapter.
