We're having cases regularly. We have only admitted one though. It was more of a "friendly" admit than a "you need to be admitted". He was anxious, so the doc threw him a bone.

I live in the Tuscaloosa area. I bought my Tacoma used. Where can I get the TSB0077-16 update & how much? Tuscaloosa Toyota won’t do it.

Is that the ECU deal? If so, @Boltripper does the KDMAX tune. That might be worth looking into. Folks seem to really like it.

I honestly don't know much about the tunes, but I do read a few threads on here
I have been waiting to rear some reviews on the 2nd gen tune. I'll definitely let @Boltripper do it if I decide to go that route. I've just never ventured into anything like that......so I'm a bit cautious since it's my daily driver.

My taco is 3rd gen. It seems to be hesitant on take off & some of the other noted problems. I hope it will work

 

Anybody know the pricing on a 2nd gen tune?

 

Did Tuscaloosa give a reason why they wouldn't do the TSB?

@Boltripper is the AL tune guy. I don't know that I've ever seen a price......and if I have, I've forgotten

 

think its like $400

 

I personally didn’t talk to them but my wife did. No reasons that I’m aware of why they don’t.

 

Do you gain or lose MPG with a tune? I have no complaints with my truck, but with the extra weight and if/when I pull the camp trailer.....is what has me curious.

Sounds like they may just be lazy

 

Depends on the tune but it increases performance so should increase MPG Slightly

 

I agree LAZY… I understand it may help with mpg.
I don’t pull anything at this time. Eventually I want to add some sort of pop-up like a Smitty. Kid in 2yrs hopefully leaves the nest and I can get some of the things I’m putting off.
