morning boys. slept better than i expected. house cooled down with the windows open and even though my back/hip were killing me last night i was so exhausted after being at the office for 2 days that i passed out pretty quick.

 

yes, just gotta figure out where first. and coffee. need coffee.

getting a campsite down there could be a problem. the park is super busy and all of the first come first served sites go quick. definite possibility to head that way though

yes. i've not spent a lot of time in the extreme NW part of the state but its gorgeous up there. i've only ventured as far as Glacier park on a regular basis. i had thought about heading that way on my 3 week trip earlier this year but with the weather being so iffy i didn't want to take the risk
when i moved to AK in the early 2000's we drove up and went through Banff and Jasper on the way. We didn't have a lot of time to explore but it was so amazing. Never seen mountains like that before. I want to go back and if the Canada border ever opens again I would love to plan a 2 week trip going through that area.

 

yeah, i saw that. the show is usually over a hundred cars. parade goes right through the main part of town and takes about an hour for everyone to file in.
they usually stage the cars in the area circles on the left here and then the parade goes down the two main streets in town to the park. those two main streets are also the main route to the west entrance and traffic backs up through town on busy days...or, you know, every day

High of 68, low of 40 down here. And no campfires...think it's gonna be an early night. Bit of a change from the 90/60 combo I've been seeing at home.
