o_O you don't need to back half a truck to 4 link it.

Of course you don't, but why wouldn't you? There is so much more to be had by back halving.

Some folks might want to keep the factory bed, a lot of different strokes for a lot of different folks.

There sure is lots of different opinions. Just my opinion that when you step into links, you should probably strongly consider a cage anyways. That is if you actually drive your truck.

If you want a full blown sealed in purpose built prerunner there’s no better way than back half but you’re looking at a $25-30k parts and labor back half if you don’t have skills to do it yourself. But they you’re left with a super depreciated investment vs. building a full size with real power and interior space. If you want a good all around family / weekend rig just 3 link it.

Back half is the way to go if you want to get the performance out of it...and you can build it how you want...you have to know what you want out of the truck....depreciated investment...if you build it nice and correct...you can sell the truck for a fair amount of money pretty easily

Lol thanks dude...I had the basic tube bending and notching stuff, learned the CAD software off YouTube videos (fusion 360) and a link geometry calculator for gettin the pivot point locations for the rear how I wanted...TERRA did a episode on my truck it has a good walk around of it...
With the rear end, shocks and tubing I did my backhalf for about 10k in parts...and it took me two months to do....if I was to build another truck I'd back half it immediately if its for offroading...its way easier to make it how you want from a blank slate than to fiddle fast around stock crap...in my opinion of course.

But I also like metal fabrication...its just as fun as driving the truck....almost

Yeah I watched that episode! Lots of creativity and thought! I think my favorite part is your rear storage compartment if I am being honest

Was directed to this Thread for help:

Looking for a pair of the OEM rear bump stop brackets for my 2011 DCSB TRD OR.

The PO removed them, and I am wanting to reinstall as I want to add Firestone Ride Rite Air Bags and bracketry.

If anyone has removed theirs and would like to sell them please contact me - Thanks
