Are any of you pistol packing taco owners, belong to the NRA ? You do know they are there to protect our rights and to protect our 2nd amendment. A small membership fee and a great magazine and knowing that there is somebody out there protecting our rights to "own and bear arms" The cost of a oil change will protect your rights............

Depends. Full price is like $800. Go to an NRA National Convention (Philly this year) and you can get one for like $400. I'm on the easy pay plan, so they take out $25 every quarter until I'm paid up ($100/yr for 8 years I think).

SAF>NRA for national organizations....the Second Amendment Foundation is behind the Heller v DC case the McDonald V Chicago case etc etc.....

the NRA worked to sabotage progun legislation last year in GA...I am a member of the NRA dont know if i will renew because of their little Georgia stunt though for a while

dunno....i think mainly it wasnt their pet bill it was the one that was the work of Georgia Carry...the NRA had a hard on about airport carry, but the bill that was passed that GCO worked on made airport carry legal

Bet you can't wait to be 21 so you can: possess, receive, ship, or transport a handgun and it's ammo.

you can do that at 18 in most states...some younger than 18...he just cant buy a handgun from a federal firearm licensee...but he can in a private transaction and he can buy handgun ammo for a pistol caliber carbine :p

dropped my membership this year...too much unsolicited junk mail (both hard mail and electronic mail), and I received a dvd (again, unsolicited) that they asked me to return or pay for about 8 weeks later.

not sure how far in advance I'm paided up cause most of the gun shows have a NRA booth out front that if you join you get a free ticket to the gun show. So for a few dollars more I rejoin at every gun show.I think it would be cheaper to becaome a Life member. In Texas we also have the Texas version of the NRA, Texas State Rifle Association.
