Aluminum Radio Mic Mount​

Machined from a solid bar of aluminum, anodized and packaged. These little guys are simple but very useful. I know I probably don't need to tell you but when you're out on the trail and climbing over a rock or about to hit a hole on the trail you're running it can be rather inconvenient to have to fumble to get ahold of your radio or mic. This mount allows you to have the mic mounted at a safe location where it is easily accesible, paired with out DMM your radio is just an arm's reach away.
These are compatible with a lot of different mics now but the mount will fit more snugly on some than on others.

Regular price is 34.95 for colored mounts but TW always gets a discount using TW10 for 10% off.

Here's my radio set up purchased from Amazon along with my jury rigged holder made out a piece of roof flange. The holder that came with the radio didn't even fit.

I went ahead and just ordered a mic mount and accessories. I don’t need a freebie. It looks like it’ll work perfect. You can donate what may have been my test model to someone else. Thanks for making this new version. I’m excited to get my mic out of the wireless charger cubby.

 

Would this also work with a clip-style mic? Or do I just have a cheap mic?

 

What about a mount for a run-of-the-mill walkie (two-way radio)?!!

 

@FreshMexicanTaco - thanks for the tag and looks like excellent work (definitely interested).
I only just got my power arrangement sorted out in the Tacoma (literally ran additional power into the cabin 2 days ago after getting the powertrays, etc sorted out prior). I haven’t decided if I’m going to go the Yaesu/Fusion route (FTM-400) or the ICOM (and others)/DSTAR route.

OR - my currently setup of Baofeng HTs and just pop a midland GMRS in there.

Edit: *cough* *cough* even better if it could be powder coated lunar rock haha

 

This one would not work with clip style but I want to make one that’s universal and I already have a few ideas. Follow the post if you want, I’ll eventually have something for clip on mics/radios

It’s on the list! maybe a universal or a separate version. But yes need to see the demand for it. So thanks for bringing it up.

id love to powdercoat these to match taco colors but I’d have to have the volume for it and I don’t -yet- so right now it would make each unit very expensive.
