Hey guys, I have been struggling with my gas pedal for a while, and I decide to ask, maybe you guys know something. I have a feeling that it is worst since the gas pedal recall on my 2010 Tacoma TRD sport.
I feel like they have make it harder to push down on the pedal since the "stuck gas pedal" ordeal for Toyota..
My truck has only 10K miles on it, it should not be rust....
    Thanks for any suggestions!!

Stop by the dealer and try the gas pedal on a couple of other Tacos. I've had the gas pedal recall and have no trouble with mine.

No throttle cable so it should be the same as any other truck there.

There's not really anything *to* rust, the pedal assembly is composite (plastic) and there is no throttle cable.

Operate it by hand and see how hard it is to move it through the full range of motion. If it feels like it is super-stiff, or if it catches at any point during pedal travel, I'd take it in to the dealership and let them know it feels like the pedal is sticking or broken.

I also noticed the pedal being a little difficult to push down...nothing crazy and certainly something I can deal with but it's not super smooth

Maybe the dealer didn't install the pedal correctly after taking it out of the truck to do the recall work?
