RRW Rock sliders

What’s up everyone. I just saw on Facebook that RRW is having a group buy on rock sliders. Wanted to ask if any of you guys installed them before. If so post pics, I’m thinking of joining the group buy & also what’s your experience with them?

 

Don't fucking do it. Please for the love of jesus Cristo don't. It was a shit show getting my sliders from them (with prior dialogue and estimated wait times, missing parts etc). This was before the world ended. I can't even imagine what it's like now. Fyi mine was the diy kit.

 

They have had a lot of issues in the past mostly them fitting like crap and powder coating issues . They would touch the pinch weld and rub coating/paint off . And the powder coating would rust threw within months

 

I have their wheels. They took forever to ship but I like the wheel. I've been thinking about sliders but idk

 

I hope they are better than they were before

for what it’s worth; They are very popular on 4runners. Check those forums. Maybe T4r.org

My buddy just put some on (had a shop do it) he ordered and got about 3 months ago with no complaints.

he hasn’t used per say because he’s mall crawling….FUR MEOW….but didn’t report any issues with install or powder coating.

this was on a 2021 4Runner.

Powder coat is crap. I got them on their Black Friday sale for $800ish shipped. I didn’t have the install issues others have but they don’t have enough mounting points in my opinion. I added a few holes.
Wouldn’t recommend.

 

Have you considered mobtown? Might be able to pick up and offset any group buy discounts with the savings on shipping.
