Just cut the inner tie rods down so you can screw them all the way into the adapters... problem solved

Works for me if you don’t think there’s another underlying issue at hand. Anyone else on stock TREs and the 2.25” kit having issues?

There is no association to spring length and preload except the constraints of the shocks.

You took my post literal. It’s absolutely a good idea to try different setups if you have the resources and knowledge. I was more being sarcastic about the amount of effort your method involves.

@81Trekker does the double shear kit allow for more inner to be threaded in or is the outer shorter in some way? I can’t be the only one to have run into this unless something else is up.

It gives you a lot more adjustment as both the inner tie rod and heim can be adjusted

Out of curiosity I peaked at mine with the double shear at the remaining threads on my tie rod is about where yours is at now, about 1/4” exposed threads.

Count me in on the inner fender group buy. I need to rebuild my project Tacoma. The inner fender is the proper solution.

So where is everybody mounting their steering quickeners at? I’m pretty well sold on adding one in.

I wanted to add it in with the slide rack when I did it, but I never really got any solid answer when I talked with jesse about it. Kinda forgot about it until I was in some real tight stuff this weekend thinking about how nice it would be. Guess I’ll have to ask Harry next time I call.
