Still shorter than Kings and Fox, but yeah, would be nice to have them sooner for sure. We're moving in September so if they arrive in October as scheduled that will work out about right for me.

If it arrives in the timeframe it'd be a miracle.

    Damn.
Have you checked with downsouth or msm or brave Motorsports to see if they had any in stock?

they all usually have some thing or other.

That's my worry as well. Not much I can do though at this point. We're moving in September so unless they arrived in the next couple weeks it wouldn't matter, I wouldn't be able to install them until after the move.

I checked around but all seem to have similar time frames. Plus I've been e-mailing Tyler at ADS since March and he's always responded to me the same day. When I was ready to order I called and talked to him for a while, never felt rushed and he's pretty knowledgeable, so I decided to order through him. Very good customer service. I also ended up ordering a pair of Dirt King UCAs that ADS stocks and he knocked $50 off.

I ordered April 19, and still "about" a month out. I'm not mad, it's what it is, just trying to give you a realistic time table

ADS sure makes some nice looking hardware. Can't wait to see them mounted with the Dirt King UCAs.

A buddy of mine ordered his in March and got everything by June (fronts came a month earlier in May IIRC). Sounds like it's gotten worse. It won't be the end of the world if it takes longer; it will give me time to setup my shop at the new house.

Can someone help educate me on why bypasses are better than external reservoirs? And, if not better, then the use case for them besides bombing hard and fast thru woops. I’ve never really researched them and am curious

I don't know much about them, other than to say I've been told they're great for wheeling but not for daily driving. Accutune has a good 5 part article about it if you want to do a deep dive.
    https://accutuneoffroad.com/byass-shocks-part-i/

    Excerpt from the article:
"Bypass shocks have stiff zones and soft zones. Without adequate amounts of up travel there isn’t room for each zone to do their job well and you may end up with shocks that are too soft or too stiff. For applications with less than 5″ of up travel bypass shocks are not recommended."

The main takeaway for me from that article is that it requires a lot of planning to ensure bypass shocks will work well.

    Whole lotta stuff
All bypasses minus some internal bypass shocks still have piggyback or remote reservoirs. Easiest way to describe what a bypasses is: A shock that has tubes that allow oil to “bypass” the internal piston. If you want to get very in-depth into bypasses there’s YouTube and good info in the LT forums. It’s a fun and interesting rabbit hole to research.

And @Mojo Jojo is right in reference to the article by accutune. Because bypasses are position/zone sensitive, if you don’t have enough travel-to-bump (more commonly known as “bump travel”) to tune the zones, bypass shocks don’t make a lot of sense. So to say that a bypass or a smooth body shock is better than the other is subjective to what your application and use. Our trucks don’t have much bump travel stock to make bypasses worth it unless you leave the realm of bolt-on and into fully fabbed long travel suspension with a bed cage to get the shock up high enough to tune bypass zones.

You’ve seen my bypasses in this thread. They are not set up high enough so I have to re-do the rear of my truck to get use out of them. It’s a pain, I wish I had gone bigger in the first place rather than where I am at now.

After 3 years, I think its time for a rebuild on my coilovers. I've done some searching, but haven't found anything specific to ADS. Any tips or guides?

It is tough to find people/shops to do it in certain states/areas. I will be needing a rebuild as well in about a year (probably longer than it should be. I hope ADS will be somewhat back to norm by then because I am in no place to service my own and need a coil swap as well

How long did it it take for them to arrive, and when is the other half supposed to arrive? I'm only a couple weeks in since I ordered...trying not to think about it

Ordered mid April, was supposed to be 5 weeks, rears are a week behind, but we'll see how accurate that is

I got my rears a couple weeks ago and fronts were just delivered today. Ordered from Headstrong mid May, so almost exactly 3 months.
