the funny part is that FedEx still shows it as at Walgreens and it’s in a locked cabinet.

:notsure: I’m thinking I’m just going to order another tonight since this already sounds like it’s going to be shenanigans. The best part is - if I let it sit for 5 days then it’ll be returned to sender. So. I’m going to do that and then see what comes of them trying to return nothing.

Nice, I'm going out of Scituate tomorrow for striper. Personally I'd rather hunt for fluke but my buddy wants to fish for striper.

Stripers are an awesome fish. Have fun.

Now that I have learned of the "John Skinner method" of fluking, I have a renewed interest in fishing for fluke. If you'd like to learn more about this method check out John Skinner's Youtube channel. Mr. Skinner has developed a great fluke jigging rod which is available from J&H Tackle.com The rod matches great with the Quantum Accurist reel, which J&H sells. J&H also sells lots of other Skinner gear, including specialized bucktails. (I have no affiliation with John Skinner or J&H Tackle.)

I am now a believer that rapid vertical jigging with 15 pound test braid, and a Bucktail tipped with Gulp is the best fluking method. No "meat" bait required.

I’ve tried jigging for fluke with squid and fluke strips and haven’t caught one. Gulp always seems to outperform. I have also caught some on z-man soft plastics, but gulp tends to be cheaper and more available than some of the z-man stuff

Good opportunity, I hope. Doing the same thing, just for a different company. Compensation was a big factor but not the only one, the rest of the package seems good also.

    :spy:

ditch lights on. Not aimed. Still have some wiring to improve and the real switch isn’t here yet so it’s a little janky. But had the afternoon off and wanted to get it done. The heavy lifting is done, just some easy connections to remake now. Then aim them.

And maybe find covers for them if I need to put covers on for inspection. Otherwise they’re just H11 connectors so I’ll just take the lights off for inspections.

Uca question: I've been squirreling some money for new ones and I've got enough now to buy jba's (id end up going for the high caster ones), are the adjustability of spc's worth holding out for a couple hundred more? It won't be for long while but id like to leave the possibility of 35s open down the road and would rather buy once/cry once, TIA :D

+1 for jba. Also a little biased as that's what I got. I've read a few w/ 35s using jba. If you do gusseted spindles with spc I know you have to get much smaller castle nuts to secure and they are special order from Grainger. No reason to not get them just something that set my buddy (boss that wanted help) and I back a few weeks ago.

I've had SPC on my taco, FJ and currently my Landcruiser. I really like them if you've got a good shop that is even willing to deal with them, and actually knows how to do more than toe adjustments via tie rods.

Having never had JBA they look nice too. I like that they are both easily serviceable and have sealed ball joints. Using uniballs in the Northeast is silly IMO. Then again this is coming from a guy running Johnny joints on one end of all my rear suspension links and after about 1.5 years they're making some good noises despite constant greasing. So maybe don't take word for it.

I was looking at SPC also but a deal came along for jba. Almost painted them black before install but got lazy so they're red.

Definitely leaning towards jba then, but I've got a little bit before I can order them so I'll keep doing my homework. Anyone know if they resolved their boot issue?

Old exhaust rusted out, so I ordered all stainless tubing, muffler, and resonators. No expense spared, so of course I got v-bands. I have a lot of fitting and welding to do, I will upload progress photos and finished product. Hopefully I can start cranking on things this coming week. Waiting for flux, since I don’t have enough argon to purge. Friggin excited
