My gfs son decided to give me some nice new artwork for the truck. Pissed. Any ideas on the cheapest way to fix? Any estimates? Good times.

Try to buff it out and maybe it won’t be as visible .

Unless that's white on top, it Looks like it's through the paint, which means it needs repainted. Get a good body shop to quote and figure out if it's worth getting insurance involved.
My buddy's daughter and neighbor girl did mom's entire Armada, but it wasn't through the paint. They had it buffed out, but you could see it was never going to be the same.

Check out youtube. Looks pretty deep though

The lines are all wrong though. That's more the work of a 3 year old, kid might be a little behind in development

If you get it wet and it mostly disappears, it will buff out. If not of to body shop, you go.

I'd be so pissed I'd just leave for a pack of cigarettes and wouldn't come back. I don't even smoke.

Without being able to see it in person, it's hard to tell for sure..

If there's enough clear there, and it isn't thru to the base coat..... It (may):itllbuffout:..... Who ever tries it, will have to know what they're doing and be able to walk the fine line, without breaking thru to base if it isn't already..

In the best case scenario it'll buff out and you'll never see it.

Worst, they'll just spray the door, nothing else.

This is coming from someone who knows body and paint.

Is that the car shield logo? Clean it up and throw same wax on there, it probably won't be that noticeable. If you can't live with it, trade in for a lime green Pro.

Sometimes, you'd be surprised on what you can buff out.

Basically they'd use very fine sand paper in a series of steps to the point on sanding away the scratches, then polish them away.

If it were me, once I saw it wasn't broke thru to base color.
I'd take some 1000 grit wet sand it carefully, then step it up to 1500 real quick, then to 2000.... Buff/polish.

But it's real easy to cut thru if you don't know what you're doing, and even when you do it happens to the best sometimes.

Fingernails catch the scratch? If not it’s compound time. Otherwise, what they’ve said above. Or if you don’t like aftermarket paint, you can surf Car-Part.com for a door shell of same color/year-ish and swap them out
