How about hills covered in ice or 5 feet of snow? Sounds like fun! I cannot wait!

So back when I had a 2006 Jeep Wrangler LJ (6spd) I used to tell anyone who would listen and quite a few people who didn't want to listen that it was the best most balanced snowmobile in the world.

Now that I'm driving a 2018 Tacoma Sport with a 6-speed... It is for sure an even better balanced and capable snowmobile.

I second this suggestion. Save on mount/dismount expenses and when time to put snows on just jack it up and swap, no waiting on the gas station. Been doing it for years...

Survived last winter on the stock tires.. but that was an auto taco. My cousin rips around all year long with mud tires on her 6spd taco. People think it's dumb but she's the one that pulls those people outta the ditch after a storm :) (i'd like to note that she lives very far from me which is why she cant help me lol)

Idk why i'm laughing that your name is steel wheels. How convenient. How much you go for? :p

Huh.. if you're not cheap, would hate to wine and dine alloy wheels then.

Well, if you rev match downshift properly, there should be very little extra wear on the clutch. I engine brake, I don't clutch brake.
In other words... clutch in, bring the revs up while selecting the lower gear you want (blip), clutch out smoothly.. THEN lift.

I stalled my 2017 Tacoma 2x, not even aware of this feature. I owned it 2 years approximately before I was sitting at a very long stop light with incline and let my foot off the brake and it takes time before it rolled backwards

Agree, I've just gotten used to the truck just fine the way it is. I did however put progressive add a leaves in to sit better with the camper shell and stuff in it.
Only thing I don't care for is the clutch pedal not releasing when it's really cold, but that a non issue after it warms up. IME

Think that's an issue with clutch fluid in general, although the adm appears to greatly reduce this effect

Brake however you see fit... My suggestion was to a person with not a lot of manual time. Certainly not as much as you must have...

I got rev-matching/downshifting down pretty good.. but right now I only really use it for turns that don't require stopping or for approaching red lights that I think are gonna turn green.. I don't bother downshifting up to a stop sign or red light and just coast in gear and clutch in at ~1k rpm. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ALSO downshifting for hills that I don't think i'll have enough momentum for of course..
