Im not going anywhere anytime soon that will require this stuff. But i just wanted to put it on and see how easy it was. I could do this at a trail head in like 20 minutes or less depending on any cleaning i need to do to the truck first.

Swapped the OEM tailgate insert out today for the Hooke Road Tacoma Tailgate Insert. Re-used the OEM screws, but a few of them seem to barely reach, so stay tuned.

    Other observations:
    Heavy,THICK, sturdy
Tolerences barely lined up with screw holes, but did eventually (read: push against shit)(It's thick)
The dampening on the tailgate is depreciated by 50% in my estimation. The additional weight obvisouly affects it.
    It looks great
    It has cupholders recessed spots!
Seems like a great addition for $129

After the TRD Factory Suspension addition … why not slap on the TRD Factory Skid Plate (it’s only money).

I had my windshield replaced at 500km’s into ownership… pissed-off is an understatement.

anyway.. nothing was recalibrated to my knowledge, nor was it on the paperwork. Glass shop was the Toyota recommended shop. They were great, I haven’t had any issues since.

Mind telling me how much you're lifted and what size tires? My friend has a '20 sport and was wondering what a lift and bigger tires would look like with stock rims. Yours looks great btw. His is cement, that and black both look great imo (just not as good as quicksand lol but I'm biased.).

I wish I could score some big rocks for the yard, down here in Louisiana we don't really have any big rocks so they're all so pricey because they have to be brought in from far.

Installed the glass break sensor, battery hold down and Lamin-X'd the fogs. Didn't take a pic of the fogs. A Lamin-X'd fog is a Lamin-X'd fog. On a side note, I thought that the glass break sensor wasn't working because I was testing it with a real glass break test simulator. Turns out you have to have the key fob out of contact with the truck for it to react. Just an fyi for others that go through the install and testing does not work for you.

Thanks! And yeah, I have the Eibach pro lift stage 1 with the front set to the second notch. In the back I have Icon RXTs set on option 2 as well. Tires are 255/75/17s, so true 32” just a little skinny but it prevents rubbing on stock UCAs.

Is that battery hold down an OEM part? Do you have a link or part number? TIA

Great decision. I'm a 19 SR5 4cyl with 1000lbs in the back many days of the month. It pulls it just fine and I'm a firm believer in use a truck as a truck. But I also know after a few decades in the auto repair/tire/parts business, this is a little truck, with a lot of heart, if you know what I mean. LOL
