110% correct. It’s a minefield out there. I don’t bring women home anymore because the second they get a glimpse of how I live, they don’t want to leave and start professing their love to me.. I learned that one the hard way.

I guess while I'm at it, I should add, that when I was aprox 8 years old.... I took a ride with (at the time my bros GF/now wife of many years)...... While in the back seat, she had an old Chevette? I believe it was... The door panels were that dried out kind and the roof liner was gone, you know the kind begging to be written or drawn on..

That's what I did, I wrote Guns N Roses and a couple other things on there.... Honestly not thinking anything of it, or "trying" to be "bad".... I just did it... I suppose it's an example of a child's mind.

Well she's never forgotten about it and will till this day bring it up.

Look up the "fingernail test" and that should give you a good general idea where you are at with chances of clearing it. Basically if you pass a fingernail over it and it catches than it has passed the depth of the clear coat like the passed the color layer.

Please do no use sandpaper of any sort as mentioned earlier. Buffing compound and pads are the way to address this. I'd recommend either going to a shop, best bet, or joining a detailing forum.

Sandpaper to the paint will apply an uneven abrasion and almost certainly burn the clear coat in a large area making the issue considerably worse.

If you want to tackle it yourself I would start with a hand polish without much pressure and a proper pad. Then use a glaze to fill it as that will help hide it.

Dated 5 women over the age of 50 - 2 had no kids while the other 3 had grown children. Four of them were from the internet and one I was fixed up with. Know what they had in common??? They ALL liked sex!!!

Looks like the scratches went through the paint and into the metal. Any type of scratches that go through paint and exposes bare metal cannot be buffed out with normal compound. Touch up paint can fix it but for the best result you'll have to get it resprayed.

I worked in a hardware store in high school. It was across from an old folks home. One old fella came in all the time and would joke about death a lot. Once I was comfortable around him I could joke back a bit. Once in response to something he said, I mentioned that the place he lived is basically a bunch of people sitting around waiting to die (context would be needed here). In response, he said, which I remember to this day: “nonsense young lad, I live in that place to drink bourbon and get laid by widows, dozens in fact, if you live long enough, one day you’ll understand”

Best phrase I've ever heard "dating a woman with a kid is like trying to play someone elses saved game".

Thanks for all the replies. You guys crack me up as well as give good advice I’m gonna try when I get home from this “vacation”.

And the kid is ADHD and yes annoys me, but I have a daughter too so I can’t do much. Mother has been referred to as a smoke show at 36 so let’s just say it’s all worth it.

until today. Today I contemplate the break up lol.

It sucks, but it's not a big deal.

Just make it a teachable moment and move on with your life.

I've heard the same thing from a few nurses, if you're an old bloke trapped in the nursing home or assisted living it will fall on your face and wiggle.

Some light reading for the future old freaky peeps here.

"A study performed by Berkeley University of California Wellness uncovered “significant increases in STIs” among adults 65 and over, between 2010 and 2014:

    • Chlamydia infections increased by 52%
    • Syphilis infections rose by 65%
    • Gonorrhea cases increased by more than 90%"
I'll be damned if I'm gonna be 80 years old and wear a rubber. What am I a sailor? Being 80 and telling my boy I got the Clap would be quite the conversation lol.
