I have the TRD headers, used to have the TRD exhaust tip but chopped it off when I did the axle dump. Magnaflow cats

I first swapped to a Borla Pro XS then added headers. I didn’t notice any loss of torque. But I kept it all 2.25”.

jba headers flowmaster 10 still 2 1/4 axle dumped. the torque is enough down low but i can tell I traded some bottom end torque for more midrange torque and definitely better top end horsepower

Well unfortunately I now know by experience the supercharged 5vz will rev up to 8k rpm without blowing up... I did the ol 2-3-2 moneyshift racing to make it to the movie theater today. was passing a car in 3rd gear doing 80 went to shift to 4th and missed. I tried to get the clutch back in quick but it definitely revved to the moon.she seems fine which is a surprise since Im just short of 300k miles

well Im a fully loaded sr5 offroad , running 32" tires. I have the trail gear rock sliders arb bumper and winch, the tow hitch package and campershell and had 2-300 pounds of camping gear. Im betting I was sitting around 4100-4300 pounds when I got that 19 mpg up and over Tioga pass through yosemite. I didnt do the math on tiresize when I got that mpg. might have got more like 20mpg

Nice. You had that M62 at 23,000 RPMs.

Eaton, Magnuson doesn’t recommend going past 14,000

ya all I have is the stock tune from urd. and I still don't have my boost/afr gauge in.. My truck runs great with 93-99 octane in her but today it was 103 degrees I only had 91 octane and with the 2" pulley it started pinging bad at 4500 rpm under wot.

92-94 if I remember right. I bought the last brand new one. But used you can find them.. if you’re willing to buy a whole motor.

I wish you would hurry up and get your build done Ive been curious for years about the cams you want to put in, and what rpm that will let you rev to once you bypass the stock limiter...

I haven’t had time yet, but valve timing 3vz to 5vz is almost the same. We’re talking a 1 degree difference. I need to measure and see if there’s a lift difference. But honestly I’m kinda thinking the fabled 3vz cams are not a big power adder if any power added at all.

I have a feeling the added power band on the 3vz is because the intake manifold has ACIS and effectively has a long runner and short runner mode
