Truck won't go over 80-82 MPH

Pretty sure in Texas they have speed limits up to 85. So people are probably doing 90 for sure.

 

The speed limit here on I84 is 80mph. If you go 80 you get passed by semis. I set the cruise at 89 usually, but sometimes i do 91-92. And on 95 through southeast oregon and to and from winnemucca nevada I often pass at 96-100.

 

And I feel like these trucks ride fine doing these speeds also.

 

No matter how fast your are going , there will always be someone driving faster and passing you, It happens to me all the time lol.

 

I always make sure some people are going faster than me, let them get the speeding ticket.

 

Some trucks have nanny software that alerts you if you surpass a pre set speed.

 

I get passed by mini vans all the time, even in my 2015 wrx lol

 

Just make sure it isn’t a highway cop.

OP what's the RPM at when you hit this 82mph limit?

 

You'd like here doing that speed. As a bonus you'll get a set of handcuffs to.

 

OP needs to enter 3rd letter of the VIN, current pressure of front left tire and first word on the 148th page of the owners manual to the entune app, than the reason will pop up on the trucks screen.

 

Have you not read the other posts? Why would they be in handcuffs? At the most, a speeding ticket. Some areas speed limits is 85, going 5 over is nothing.
So you never speed, ever? Yeah, ok

 

OP, what RPM are you at @ 65 MPH in 6th gear? We can check that vs. the stock RPM.

It sounds like the truck is regeared IMO.

 

Generally, any speed 20 mph over posted speed is a jailable offense. It depends on local laws and posted speeds.

 

Try reading the post you quoted again. "Here" is the word you are missing. HERE where I live, 90 would get you some nice new bracelets as well.
