Anyone looking for ARB compressor and power tray, located in North East, MD for 350?

 

To any of your knowledgeable types... Are the bed dimensions the same between 2nd gen and 3rd gen Tacos? I saw some bed bars on the MP for a great deal, they're for a 3rd gen, mine is a 2nd gen. After twisting the steel fuel lines yesterday trying to replace the original fuel filter on the 4runner ( and hearing the "crunchy" rusty noises from somewhere around the gas tank ) I'm really having doubts about taking the 4runner on the trip. These bed bars would allow me to slap on the RTT on the truck and be on my way.

Sup Maryland peeps. Haven't been active here very much because, well, I don't live in Maryland anymore. Was only there for 6 months for the internship, so they're done with me now. I live in VA though, so close enough to tag onto an AOAA or Uwharrie trip or something

Put some big tires on the 4runner. Kenda Klever 35x10.5. Skinny tires were heckin easy to fit


Make sure your tires fit at full stuff! Had to trim the front a tad lol

 

Finally got out to surf fish and drive on the beach. It was awesome.

Lookin good, brother! I'm in the market for new tires myself and I'm trying to figure out, before I buy, just how much bigger I can go than my 265 75R16 KO2s.

Thanks dude! From what I've learned, key to fitting larger tires is to understand the alignment and to pull the front shocks/springs to cycle the suspension from droop to bump and steering lock to lock. Also wider width of the tire is harder to fit than skinny tires, since wider tires will cause you to need spacers or offset wheels to clear the UCA and in turn increase scrub radius

 

Looks like I don't have the time to do all that, just inspected my tires after an 800mi weekend and they need replacing immediately.


Anyone know where to get a decent deal on KO2s?

 

EBWOP: Looks like I can get a set of 4, installed, at Costco for about $924 with a 50k mile warranty. That might be the way to go

Look into Falken Wildpeaks as well. Not sure if you've had any wet performance trouble with K02s, but word on the street is that K02 wet performance is meh. I had no issues in wet or snow with the wildpeaks

If you're attached to KO2s, probably Costco. I just got Wildpeaks a couple months ago at Radial Tire in Silver Spring and they beat all the online sellers TireRack, Discount Tire, etc. Plus they are a local business with awesome service and people.
