What are you paying for your 2021 Tacoma? (price thread)

Yea rubber floor mats are pretty dope, I have “remote start” but it’s only through the Toyota app on my phone. I can turn the car on/off, lock/unlock doors and check status (miles driven, miles left till empty) also you can set up Driver profiles with crazy amount of customization (distance, speed, time) limiters. Only annoying thing is when I start the car with the app, once I approach it and open the door the car shuts off. I’m still trying to find out how to keep it running so I don’t have to get in and restart the car.

That isn't something you can get around. It's a security thing for Toyota & Lexus vehicles. Only way around it is to have a traditional "h" key and add an aftermarket remote start.

Haha there are two very ensconced camps on it: no big deal to just hit the start button and those that feel it's a nuisance. (I, too, fall into the latter camp)

 

Been tossing around the same idea. Decided to wait. Think I may order one in January.

Working with my local dealer, Longo Toyota, on getting a new 2021 TRD OR with the premium package. See how it does. Sales guy said they don't do markups since they are the largest Toyota dealer in the states. Waiting for his call when they have one in stock or coming in how I want it. More to come!

 

Any toyota that has the toyota connect abilities. Those vehicles come with 1yr included but then a subscription afterwards

 

Got mine at Longo in April, very good people to work with. No BS or mark up nonsense there. Good luck on finding your truck!

 

I think it’s a Toyota thing if I’m not mistaking. My brother got a 2021 RAV4 and it came with the same app. Unless it’s something the dealer offers.

My wife’s highlander has it too and I can just switch between cars to lock them both easy. Very cool

Toyota Grants Pass, ask for Troy. Tell him Joseph referred you. $500 refundable deposit holds inbound allocation. I “ordered” 2 vehicles through them now, wait time was exactly 8 weeks per vehicle, their price is $1500 below MSRP.

They have one of my favorite configurations on the lot right now for a true off-road enthusiast: 2021 extended cab SR utility, long bed of course, 4 cylinder, auto, 4wd, $28k. The gearing on the 4 cylinder is much better, if someone were to toss in a rear locker, a 3” lift, and camper shell they’d be in the game at a bargain.

Visited the dealership mid-June.
They modified some allocation to get the options I wanted (at least we think that happened, I'm still slightly confused about what options are in what packages).
They tell me that it has been built, but they don't have a delivery date yet.

 

@nhpoke the build page on the Toyota site gives pretty good descriptions on what each "grade" and package include from the factory. That said, the port add ons can get convoluted if not familiar with how that works.

 

I've looked at that page like 50 times. I can't figure out which of these 4 possible packages is actually coming as all of them have the same "title" and none of them match the MSRP.
At this point, it really doesn't even matter.

Far right is 2nd from left plus MTM.

 

Based on your pdf attachment, you are getting the second from the left (package 8/10). The two things you will not get are:

• From package 9/10 you are not getting Tonneuo cover
• From package 10/10 you are not getting the advanced technology package. The advanced package has the cameras underneath the side view mirrors and you can get a 360 degree birds eye view of your truck for use in tight spaces.
