I like Tundra's, but only the older style. The older ones have the 4.7 which is a great motor, my Dad has it in his Tundra. But if I'm going to switch I'm going to get an SUV that 6 people can fit in comfortably and is a little more heavy duty.

Yeah my step dad has the 4.7 03 tundra. Still runs like it is brand new. Just rolled over 100k. Only thing I hate about it is the access cab is super tight in the back.

^ They are great trucks, my Dad has had his since it was new. It now has 130k on it, and not a single issue. If I make a switch, I'm going to go big!

Honestly, 170k on one, is basically just breaking one of those motors in. As long as the previous owner kept up on maintenance, really thats not alot of miles for one.

Its not really the motor, its the trans, rear end, body, interior, and suspension stuff like that. Honestly I spend a majority of today on Sub/Yukon forums and I have been extremely put off by them. The problems that these people have would be unheard of in a Toyota. The people that buy the 2500's w/ the bigger motors, buy them to tow heavy loads. Which is exactly what they have been doing. Which is fine, but towing adds more wear/tear on them and I'm just a little apprehensive about buying something american that has been towing for 100k.

True. But as long as you find someone that tows, and takes care of their stuff and be a something good for you.
But I do understand where your coming from. I just work at a garage, and I see some of these 2500s come in, and its honestly pretty hard to sell stuff on them, because they are pretty damn solid trucks.

seeing that pic reminded me of a guy i used to work with. he bought his to pull his big ?26ft? fishing boat. he is a meticulous car owner, but had to have the engine replaced twice in 120k and the transmission once. i know one engine replacement was 60k right on the dot and he talked them into replacing it under warranty.

i saw your other thread and it looks like you are getting some good feedback.

not of the new boy, but i do the other dogs. i'll post a few in this thread. the new boy is a chihuhua mix and fast little man.

here are some pics of my three. Both LiLi and Dozer are rescues.

Dozer is a mutt, LiLi is the Doberman, Pagan is the Min-Pin

Dozer the day we brought him home this past November

    LiLi watching the goldfish

[IMG]Yes these two are attached at the hips, except when a bone/toy is involved

Pagan (the Min-Pin is 7) both LiLi and Dozer are 2

Guinness is the new one and was born on 10/21/10. As soon as I get a few pics I will post them as well.

I really need to get a fiberglass shell, it's hard enough hauling around the other three in my truck...

Oh and Pagan just turned 8 on Friday.
