It’s the 21st century, time for all nations to live in peace, trade freely, and each country to let their people have their individual freedoms and rule by their vote. The US Constitution and Bill of Rights is a wonderful roadmap.

OP!! How dare you!! How dare you do what you want to do with your OWN truck. Definitely need to ask permission!

People are stupid. I have American flags on the side of my Japanese truck…and I’m Mexican! Lord I’m a mess. I definitely should have asked permission

I think so. Fun stuff to play with. So a completely off topic explanation- liquid N2 is stored at low pressure, off the top of my head the pop-off valve is usually set at 25-50 psi. So as N2 evaporates, pressure builds until it matches the preset pressure of the pop-off, then the venting action self refrigerates the remainder.

That's all it's doing here, is self venting. Tanks don't like being transported in horizontal position because it increases gas/liquid surface area, which in turn increases phase change, which then ramps up venting. But in this case we had little choice.

Like I said earlier, I was more shocked than anything, I’ve been to the Carlisle Truck Nationals in 2012 and 2014 (missed 2013 and 2015 due to family obligations), and every consecutive year from 2016 to 2021; This is the first time anything like this has ever happened. I only told the drunk to guy to go fuck himself after he used an ethnic slur multiple times and called me a “fuck”…

Haha. And I’m American, my Tacoma was built in Texas, and if my Tacoma had been built in Mexico I would have been just as proud to own it! Brothers are brothers, sisters are sisters, and our bonds are our humanity.

My late grandfather was a WW2 veteran and lost a brother and good friend in the war and bombing of Pearl Harbor I believe. He held a grudge for many years until he met a Japanese gentleman at his church. I vaguely remember him commenting what a relief that it was to let go of that grudge and hard feelings. Held that for many years, couple decades maybe.

I’ve got a funny story about a friend and his mom who didn’t understand world history…

One of my former friends (also autistic) had a mom who was staunchly anti-Japanese to the point that she wouldn’t even have a Mitsubishi ductless air-conditioner in her finished basement...

Her alleged reasoning? She had a friend or relative who served in the Vietnam War… o_O

She regularly gave me grief for driving a Tacoma and once half-jokingly told me not to park it in her driveway; Back before I had a driver’s license (this spectacular screwup who I used be friends with is two years older than me and still doesn’t have one), my mom would drive me and my friends everywhere. This was in 2009-2010, and my mom was driving a 2004 Honda Odyssey. My friend once complained about the fact that my mom had a Japanese van when he found out, and I told him that if he didn’t like it he could call a cab; This shut him up…

There are many sad mistakes in American history, the Japanese internments were one of those times. Trail of Tears another. And the current times as well. Only when we all stand together and for the rights and freedoms of people everywhere in the world will America truly be great. Those times in the past when we have tried to do just that are small steps in the right direction. Much work to do and it is in each of us to succeed or fail in that.

Read the original post; I worked at a bar for more than four years, and the actions of drunk morons still continue to amaze, shock, and surprise me!

I have a theory here; People spend so much time on social media hurling out all sorts of nasty insults that they can no longer differentiate between when they are on their computer at home and when they are out in the real world, especially when they’ve been drinking and are as heavily intoxicated as this guy probably was…

I hope that if this guy continues insulting Toyota owners directly to their faces for displaying the American flag on their vehicles, he’ll eventually encounter one who isn’t as friendly and easygoing as me, and wake up the next morning with a black eye and/or a few missing teeth in addition to a roaring hangover; Karma’s a bitch!

I have found that people like that are usually miserable and insecure in most aspects of their life and are just looking for some reason/somebody to take it out on. Don't take it personally - it could have happened to anyone.

This reminds me of a time almost twenty years ago literally right after 9/11; It was October 2001 and my dad was stationed at NAS Whidbey Island. My dad had a Harley, and we went to a motorcycle meet in Anacortes, Washington; I was 12 years old and I rode on the bike with my dad, while my mom followed in our van.

While at this bike meet, I saw a guy riding an Electra Glide with a British Columbia plate (we lived less than two hours from the Canadian border); He was flying both the flag of his home country and the American flag on the back of his bike, and I asked my mom why. As stated above, this was probably not even a month after the 9/11 attacks, and my mom said he was showing his support for America during that awful time. Why can’t more people today be like that Canadian biker I saw two decades ago?!?!

Anybody in a Japanese truck, anyway…

My dad almost bought me a new 2009 Ford Ranger XLT instead of the 2010 Tacoma I ended up with; I think older Rangers are good trucks, but I’m glad I got the Taco…

There’s another picture that my mom took in our driveway right before my dad and I left for the October 2001 bike meet, with us posing next to the Harley in our helmets and leather jackets floating around on Facebook, but I can’t find it…

My dad has had three bikes since 1996; A 1997 Yamaha Virago, a 1999 Harley-Davidson FXDX, and a 2009 Harley-Davidson Road King. He bought the silver 1999 FXDX in late 1998 when we were living in Virginia Beach, and below is a picture of me sitting on that bike in our driveway the day he brought it home…

    BA455A7A-C23E-4E2D-AD99-9B153AA1A834.jpg

My first time on a motorcycle was dad’s Yamaha in 1996 at the age of 7; As overprotective of me as my mom was, I’m amazed she let me ride with him! The 1999 FXDX pictured above is the one he had when we went to Anacortes in October 2001.
