That’s wrong. Texas got a penalty against Texas Tech years ago when one of our players did a guns up (techs hand gesture) and then holstered the guns. After the game the press asked Mack Brown about it and he said if that’s a penalty then horns down should be too.

simple fact is that it’s a taunting penalty. No different than standing over a player after a big hit or high stepping over the goal line with the ball out when you’re 10 yards ahead of the receiver.
But because it’s related to Texas simpletons like to make a big deal out of it. Maybe when you go back to the big east or aac you can make up a new fake rivalry and come up with some kind of cool upside down knights gesture.

 

I hated that when it happened but that’s one of the greatest plays ever.

It’s not wrong, you just offered another stupid example of having fun being penalized. You did however prove my point in continuing to cry about a gesture.

The fact that you think WVU fans, or any fan base, gives a single shit about Texas is adorable. Texas has no reason to be as average as they are with their recruiting and revenues, but there you are! Average at best, splitting with WVU during our coaching transition. Congrats.

My deepest condolences to any of my FSU brethren... I know as a Gator fan we tend to give each other hell in the spirit of rivalry... but I always liked and respected Bobby as a man. Based on the coverage of college football over the last couple of weeks and your posts over the last couple of seasons I would say that your first statement doesn’t hold much weight.

As far as the second you are correct and now that Texas is in the sec they will be able to use some of that revenue to start dropping bags like the other big dogs in the sec.

 

Imagine making a stupid analogy and doubling down on Texas being huge crybabies over a silly gesture. Texas lobbied to have it be a penalty, and you’re moaning otherwise.

I make fun of UT. I make fun of a lot of schools. It’s shit talk. Big shock, I know. Not as big of a shock when the aggies run your team off the field, tho.

 

I foresee a larger issue coming. The powers that be aren't going to allow large crowds to gather for football. We must obey.

 

Since WVU joined the B12 in 2012 (with significantly worse revenue and facilities from the Big East..), Texas has won a whole three more total games, and six conference when only tallying conference matchups.
