That’s why I waited so long to do it. I didn’t want to drop the bumper.
I didn’t have to though. I just loosened it and pushed it down enough to remove the old ones and install the new ones. Took about 40 minutes with a break in between the two. It’s 100 degrees out here.

I wasn’t a fan of how chunky the AJT key fob is either but I like having one set of keys that have the physical key. I just swapped my AJT over to a YotaMD key fob: https://www.yotamd.com/collections/key-fob-cases/products/ymd3-titanium-banded-remote-kit-3-button

I might anodize the Titanium band blue or gold. I wanted to get it together to see what I thought first.

I like the 2nd fob you got. A bit pricey tho.

On a somewhat related note: anyone know where to get some OEM fob buttons? I have an ATJ fob as a extra but in the process of moving last year, my OEM fob and key pads got lost.

AJT and the YotaMD both use OEM buttons so if you have your AJT complete, they are IN there.

The bumper and fender clip was the hardest part for me when I first did it because I wasn’t sure how exactly it snapped in even after watching the videos. After trying to fix a loose bumper after a dealer visit i was able to find out how it clipped. So this is after you pulled the fender flare away from the fender/bumper… then you have to pull the bumper from the fender. There are 3 tabs you’ll have to lift up with a plastic pry tool to release the bumper (left/center/right). The left tab is positioned behind the flare, the right is closest to headlight and the center of those. Pull back as you lift each tab starting from left to right and when fully un clipped just pull forward enough to see the screw. Hope this helps

Wanted to say thanks, looks like I’ll be getting one more “mod” completed before we leave Texas - I ordered through Etsy. The owner of the shop was very nice, responded to my question quickly and even adjusted the shipping address after Apple Pay decided not to give me any say on that.

For the record: Dark Metallic Red is the color best matching Barcelona Red according to seller.

did you follow any specific set of instructions for this? I found the USB panel from Blue Sea; I’d be very interested in doing this eventually.

I did the exact same mod a couple of weeks ago. Search YouTube. A very good installation video will show up.

It helps… but like I said I just didn’t have it in me. Now I’ve got 4 bolts (holding a winch control, and lights) on the top off the bumper where there used to be trim clips. Maybe next weekend.

Thanks! I have the Roam Vagabond tent which should work with pretty much any rack.

The rack itself it by KB Voodoo. I believe they were the only ones to make racks compatible with tonneau covers. These ones are called the hi-rise crossbars. I'm not sure if they still make the exact ones but they definitely still make a version of them.
