Not gonna lie, those do look good. What's their rebuild cycle like? I'm curious how they'll hold up to the elements and road treatments.

Same. My OME Nitro Sports are showing rust after just one winter. Considering pulling them off and repainting just to get more life out of them.

I went ahead and sold the 2005. Need to update that. Got what I paid for it 8 years ago which is ridiculous.

My goal with the new one is to build it up moderately for camping and wheeling. Once these tires are more than halfway used I'll get 33s on it. It seems like the pros can get 285/75 r16s due to the offset of the trd pro wheels without rubbing or modifications to the cab mount. You may have to do a little heat gun action but that is about it. Way down the road after 100k miles I may decide to do 35s. It did everything stock that I would want it to do currently, just need more miles in it before I feel comfortable really beating it up.

For now I'm focusing on the camping gear and build. I will do trails and what not that it can handle until I start doing mods for more off roading. I think most of the DBBB could be handled as it is now and sections of the KAT

They’re supposed to have been “2000 hour salt tested” or some shit. Only time will tell.. by the time they need rebuild I’ll have sold the truck or will be ready to buy something different

$1100 for a front pair isn't too bad. Makes me consider them.
I'm asking them for a mileage for rebuild interval, I'll see what I can get out of them. Seems other mfr.'s call out 30-50k miles for mixed on/off driving. Meaning my rear Fox's need to get rebuilt... :frusty: and they don't even have a damn resi!

When do the fox's that are on the pro need to get rebuilt? When I googled they was a generic 10k-50k, tbh I've never done that, I'm guessing you have to take them off and send them to fox or what? Or is it something the dealer will do at those intervals?

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
Down south motorsports is a good option for service

imho I’d plan on spending your fox shock rebuild money
    On better shocks
    But that’s just me

Yeah I've heard really polarizing things about the fox shocks. Some people love them and some people really hate them. These are my first fox's and so far I am enjoying the ride on road and off. Maybe it would take another manufacturer to really see the difference.

I am not opposed to servicing my own shocks, I've honestly not done it before. Gotta learn at somepoint.

I pray they go 50k. Maybe by then Accutune will be able to rebuild them. I drove it more today since I aligned it. Big difference over 5100s

Can I book a ride sometime to get seat feel experience? I need to upgrade my Toytec suspension and either the RoughCountry, or the Elka or the Ironman4x4 product are my leading candidates.

    Absolutely!
And while I do really like my new setup, I can tell you the Elka will probably be a bit better. Honestly for me it was either RC or Dobinson. Dobinson was just a little more than I wanted to spend.

My Elka suspension has been great. No complaints at all and much better than the 5100s they replaced. Also still look brand new a year later (a little dirty from the dirt/mud in the new construction neighborhood) but no rust on the shock bodies or paint corrosion. I’m impressed how well they are holding up compared to how terrible the billies looked after one winter. The SPC UCAs do not hold up as well though. I’ve already had to paint them once.

My resi looks a lot lower, hence my rub.

Well, if you still worked somewhere that shall not be named you could test it and verify.

Truth. I ended with with 4.5 degrees of caster. A tad more than I wanted but its the best it can get while keeping camber within spec and not having to much camber split. Honestly if the hours didn’t blow, I’d still be there. It’s hard working 50+ hours a week while having a toddler and new born.
Also, it looks like you need to clean them dudes lol.
Also x2… congrats on the new job

@Summers_Kytaco_19 thanks man! I hear you about working crazy hours. I have another friend who was a gm at TD and left because of it.

I gave up on cleaning after my frame was sprayed and I then went off-roading. I now have an extra few hundred pounds of mud tagging along everywhere I go. Such is life. Lol

Are you running a wheel spacer? Try moving the resi for and aft?

I need better front shocks...but that won't fix my 35 rubba dub dub!

Yea, I'm running spacers to keep from rubbing the back of the tire on the frame. It can't go forward any more because of the rad support. I think I'm going to have to chop up my brackets and weld in new metal to raise the resi.

So while I do not rub on the resi’s. My right front tire does rub the resi hose at full lock turning left. Might have to clock the reservoir a smidge to prevent that
