Bad up at the lake again, took this about an hour ago. So thick the sun is just a orange dot.

Was the same in Reno tonight. We were planning on heading out for a quick overnight camp before school starts back up but there aren't any options I know of within 2 hours that don't have unhealthy AQI.

Plan now is to set up a tent tomorrow in my office for a "campin" and roast marshmallows over the jetboil in the livingroom.

Anyone ever seen this guy around town? My brother saw him at the Peavine access point in Somersett.

I hear ya Eric. Had to do it for years. There was a lot of chatter about coming out but I think this smoke is keeping people at bay. All good. I’ll be here. Might start drinking though lol.

Went out to the Blue Lakes area for an overnighter last night. Camped at 8500’ and smoke was minimal. Just a light haze. Was almost 100 in Carson Valley driving in and only 70 where we camped.

I’ve been using this NOAA sat image to see where the smoke is going. It updates every 5 minutes and you can have it play a loop.

Let's talk tires that work well where we live and play.

    0CB6E806-AC41-4372-9E3A-C2576ACD1DBD.jpg

I'm on my 3rd set of Duratracs and I'm planning on replacing them in the next few weeks to go up a size. I've been happy with them on pavement year round up here and they perform well off road (the picture above is the only sidewall puncture I've had).

I'm looking for another AT tire that doesn't ride like a brick, has decent performance on the road when the snow is falling, doesn't weigh a ton, and will get me where I want to go off road.

I've run K02s in the past and wasn't happy with them in the winter or when things got muddy but other than that my experience is limited to those and the Goodyears. So, what works for you and what tires have you tried that you won't go back to again?
