Dug this out from behind my shed:

Took about 30min to clean it up and install it on my wife’s Subaru.

Already put the umbrella and beach chairs up in it. Pretty much ready to just chill for a few days.

Found a local guy with a tractor to mow some of the trails and around the cabin. I've been taking small chunks at a time with the weed wacker. Not sure if I mentioned that I got a Stihl that uses the same battery as that small electric chainsaw. Seems to run a long time. I really like it.
Anyway, he found a ground bee nest. "thousands of aggressive bees", he reported. We were up over the weekend and it looks like another one that was dug up by a skunk but not wiped out like the last one. More like a small cave with a nest inside now...and, of course, right near the path down to the cabin. Glad I did not walk into that with the weed-wacker!
The mowing looks great and he cleared a small tree that was down by the pond and fixed a crushed drainpipe that ran under the road. That was a victim of the drill-rig that I had up there last year to put in a well. Super happy with this gent. I hope he sticks around!

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! And Happy Belated Birthday to @TOYTONKA !!

I have been using those Orange mowers for many years and have had great luck with them. Having the local servicer 5 miles away helps, too, although there was just a change of owners when the previous one retired. Hopefully, service will remain good and prices steady.

We had a beautiful night for a hot air balloon flight last night. Have another scheduled - hope the weather cooperates. Tonight's flight is a family where the father/grandfather has terminal cancer and the son is trying to fill his father's remaining time with adventures and family experiences. Had to cancel out on Saturday and moved them to Monday. Really want to get this one in.

    Be safe out there!!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes guys. It was a good one. Went fishing with my one and only daughter, Chrissy, in the Delaware river. We only caught one. I don't know what it was. The guy next to us was pulling in some really big cat fish. He was using shrimp for bait.

I think you are going to find the bees nest was not dug up by a skunk. It's a bear. At our cabin we found a hole in the ground about 2 and a half feet in diameter that was dug by what we think was a bear. Tree directly beside hole had straight line claw marks up to about six feet high. Can bears feel a bee sting? I do know the yellow jacket looking bee that are in the ground are nasty! My Brother had a nasty reaction years ago, spent the night in the hospital.

There’s a YouTube channel ‘The Hornet King’ out of Lititz, Pa. He removes wasp/hornet nests in our area. It’s interesting and informative.

    @MoneyMan55

I don't know how you fight Chambersburg traffic every day. Had an eye appointment at 11:30 at a place off Walker Rd. Got out around quarter till. Stopped at the Sheetz for a drink and holy shit the traffic was terrible. Took me almost 30 minutes to get from Walker to on past Surplus City on 30. Then got stuck behind a tow truck on the mountain that was obviously burning up his transmission. I'm now reminded why I tend to order alot of stuff online and not get out much

Dr McGahen? Yeah traffic does suck in town. I tend to take back roads and short cuts. Headed down 81 to stop at the JD place beside the mall. Interstate is always a treat as well.

Dr. Sylvester at My Eye DR. One of the few places that has no problem with my insurance. Still an expensive trip! o_O

81 can be a dumpster fire. Traveled it alot when I worked out of town. Nothing like cruising at a nice speed and bam, a parking lot. We always called it the 81 parking lot. At the 78/81 split going South is always a treat on Fridays.

In other news I went looking for the keys to the Talon a while ago. Couldn't find them for nothin'! Yea they were in the ignition and the car was on the street. Not even thieves want it

I love it! I love me some hot weather!

Now that said, I wish it would rain. Pretty dry up here. While my grass is still 80% all green you go over the mountain and everybody's grass is green. I try and take a little pride in my yard and this dry weather ain't helpin! :angrygirl:

Yikes! I hope they fully recover. Concussions can be tricky from which to recover. Best wishes.
