I see it says It is the lightest manual roof top tent in the market for its class and Fits all roof racks or truck bed racks with a 140lb plus weight rating.

Guessing it's 140lbs then? Seems kind of heavy for it being the lightest manual RTT in the market for its class.

 

Maybe they are factoring weight of an occupant?

140 is not light, at all, for a RTT. My Smittybilt weighs 113 pounds. The lightest CVT weighs 93 pounds (at least that's the lightest weight tent I saw listed on CVT page)

 

Thought about that - then thought if the tent is the lightest on the market, it puts it at sub 80lbs (GFC Superlite is 80lbs).
Don't know many 60lbs humans that can drive somewhere to go camping

If the tent is sub 100 lbs, definitely interested. Too much of a weight nazi for anything higher

 

It doesn't feel like 140lbs, but I don't have an actual number. A friend and I can lift it with one hand each, so it's not that heavy tbh. Also, the only other tent like this one that I know of is the Freespirit Recreation one, so maybe that's what they're comparing weight to? It seems like almost a carbon copy of it too with the base construction and tent material. You're welcome to come check it out tho!

 

NM: Pretty pricey (and heavy) for a tent! Not Tacoma, but probably one of the nicest 4Runners I've seen.

Pretty cool setup. I’ve seen some 80-series Land Cruisers built similarly, but not a 3g 4Runner

 

If things don't work out, I'd be interested in the bed mat. I'm in Hayward so I'd go to you to pick it up. Hell I'd go out to meet up tonight once traffic dies down.

96lbs feels about right honestly. I think the 160lbs is the shipping weight IMO

 

Curious what the process is for selling camper shells. I've got a snugtop rebel (cement grey) that I'm thinking of selling but I have no clue how that transaction works. (logistically)

 

Are you removing it before selling? Or removing at the time of the sale?
