Anyone have experience with the RC bed mollies? Liking the price point for both driver and passenger sides.

You have to get them used to it. Start by using treats

Interesting. I was thinking about picking up a trail runner (4Runner) from them to use as a chassis for my mfab body

Proper angle? I have zero degree rock sliders that are perfectly functional and saved my body on many occasions. Kickouts are helpful as a step, but really not a function of a true rock slider.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I don't know, like I said it's a rather new concept to me. They look really nice.

didn’t know there was such a thing as a proper angle, but they are angled on the underside. no kick out but no plans to do anything too crazy.
the mall is pretty tame around these parts :anonymous:

I don't know, I just typically see listings claiming 20-30 degrees when it comes to these things. Usually that accompanies a design that appears to come up and hug the bottom of the body a bit more. As I said, really just asking to decrease my own ignorance not trying to insinuate these aren't real sliders.

    Thanks!

Just used a Dymo 160 label maker off of Amazon, $25. I had a higher quality label maker tucked away in storage somewhere, so just ordered the 160. It works just fine.

And Dymo #18055 1/2" heat shrink tubing cartridge.

I've also begun using clear heat shrink tubing over the heat shrunk labels so the labels will resist weathering and wear. At some point I may need to re-do the switchpros labels, or just get them covered up with clear heat shrink while they still look decent enough.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
We were all new to sliders once so no worries. Sliders come in many forms and angles depending on what you want/need them for. Some just want added protection and a functional step so low angle. The high angle ones are usually for people who are going through tighter spaces between rocks, trees etc that want a little more side protection. Some just want to have sliders. All depends on how they mount and the lower construction to consider them true sliders or not. :hattip:

Made some more progress on the platform. Building mostly just to utilize more space with the cap. Not a lot of head room, but it would work in a pinch as a mini-motel.

if anyone has suggestions on auto carpet or padding, let me know!

After ordering all the cables to add extra usb charger on the dash and ordering the incorrect cables to relocate the media port I finally found what works for my 2021 and it was delivered after a couple of weeks waiting. Some people find all this rerouting unnecessary, but I love having the wireless CarPlay thingy in the center console and not visible. I also now have the media port repurposed as a fast charge and an extra double usb next to it.

I ended up getting a remnant from a local carpet store. Definitely doesn't look the best but totally functional. As far as padding goes just use a Thermarest when I'm sleeping back there.
