Thanks. That's kinda what I thought.
I was NOT interested in the Tonneuo cover, but did want the MTM.
The dealer indicated they were changing the allocation to include the MTM, but it wasn't clear if that change was accepted by Toyota. Sounds like it wasn't.
Wifey got a 21 Rav4 Hybrid Limited a few months ago. I've been surprised by how much I use the "birds eye view" thingy she has. I'm sure I'll be fine :) .

Correct me if I'm wrong, that sounds like you got a fully loaded OR for under 42,300 OTD? Do you mind posting more details for us to look at?

Getting MTM or not getting MTM was one of the final items I obsessed over. I ended up getting it because I was getting the DCLB and was really concerned about size and parking/navigating in tight spaces. I do use it. Is it worth $900? Not sure but with it amortized over the duration of the loan it isn't like I took a huge financial hit. I hope the cameras are reliable long term. That is a main concern on all these add ons - more stuff that can break!

That at least makes me feel better about not getting the MTM.
Not getting the MTM makes me re-question if I should have gone with the Limited vs. the OR package, but that decision seems to be made, which I'm fine with.
I'm in a DCLB now (2014) and haven't managed to run into things so far, so I'll manage. I haven't looked up the overall differences in length, but can't imagine that it is that much.

In an interesting turn of events I'm about to install a small leveling kit and set of 5100s in my 2014 before passing it on to my son. I would have been jealous of the Billy's (and might still be jealous of the leveling).

I would have liked it for those "is it actually going to fit" situations. It's better to see rather than wait for that "scccrrrhhss" sound.

Also going from SR5 with cloth / basicish interior to leather / heated will be an upgrade.

Nice congrats! That discount where I’m at now as well. Really feels like dealerships are trying a little harder to sell these lately. Dare I say over-allocated...

Lol… I hope that was a joke. If your getting a truck out of pure luck it’s because someone backed out of one. These aren’t lasting more than a day on the lot. Almost every truck the dealer gets in are already marked as sold. Toyota does have a $500 off for this month which is why you are getting that below MSRP. If they were over allocated then you would have a whole lot of happy TW members posting about getting their trucks. Instead everyone here is waiting and waiting for their allocations to be accepted and built.

Got lucky, local dealer had a TRD Pro in Lunar Rock allocated to them. Signed at MSRP. Delivery in about two weeks.

it was a little tongue in cheek, but I do think somethings up—either production is ramping up, or the continuous fall of wholesale prices is finally catching up with retail, maybe both. Used pickups led the drop in price recently.

Maybe combined with people waiting this out now or waiting for 2022, I’ve seen a decent chuck of available trucks coming in Aug 13-24th. Combined with the finance deal (we didn’t get -500 in my region, just 2.49% 72mo), you gotta ask yourself, why would Toyota come out with an incentive to push these trucks? Seems counterintuitive if the trucks are flying off the lot as is right?
a market adjust might be just around the corner, some have said dealers are just trying to make hay while the sun is shining as well.

Just my thoughts. Still a gamble.

It is like vanilla bean ice cream vs. french vanilla in terms of color! :)

I have no idea if production is ramping up, my truck was delivered along with 4 other Tacoma’s on Wednesday, last week, all 5 were pre-sold. Dealer gave me a $500 military rebate (because I asked, don’t think it was from Toyota)
Just glad to have mine, finally (waited 3 months).

Could be for that region. These manufacturers use algorithms to determine incentives and what to offer. You start offering more incentives you get more people in the dealership placing a deposit for a vehicle. I can say that when they did the offer a few months back everyone was placing a deposit and hoping to get the discount but that didn’t happen because it was no longer available when those trucks came in. So if your lucky and can get a truck within a few weeks you can get that deal. Chances are a lot of people are just barely going to miss this and won’t be able to take advantage of it unless their trucks hit right at the perfect time. But those request will still skyrocket because people will hope to get anything below MSRP. Now I’m not saying you still can’t get it under MSRP but depending on where your at MSRP is like the old version of getting a great deal.

Toyota is going with what banks are offering for finance rates. They aren’t going to let free money be blown away by what other banks are offering. That’s just smart business for offering that.
