Who has an AK (and variants)?

I like the Sam7's, but for the price they are now I would buy a Krebs Custom. Not milled, but they have a great finish and are sweet shooting.

You are right about the SAM5. They are selling them for what they go for on Gunbroker. You must be on the AK Files with your collection and knowledge on them.

The SAM5 was a sleeper in the fall of 2020. I bought 2 of them for $1,500 each minus military discount. I used to own the “US made” one and regretted selling it.

I hate to be a fan boy, but I highly prefer Arsenal of Bulgaria rifles. The milled rifles seem to have better quality control, but their paint sucks (should be paint over parkerizing so there shouldn’t be rust though) and can have canted sights. I think the Polish Beryl rifles have better quality control from imported rifles.

 

I am on the files quite frequently actually. That’s how I found out about the SAM5. I wish I snagged one then. Wouldn’t trade a Yugo plus cash for one of those SAM5 would ya

I’m guessing your Wolverine suppressor is in 14x1LH threading since you have an adapter on your SAM7SF. I switch my insert to the 24mm, but now I can’t use it on my 14x1LH guns. I contemplated getting another Wolverine. Its the best can for an AK and looks the part.

Great collection as always. Love the Bakelite furniture. Maybe one day I’ll post more pics of my guns if I can dig them out of my safe

 

So I have several adapters for my Wolverine. The one in the picture is 5/8-24 on a 24mm to 5/8-24 adapter. I was too lazy to swap the 24mm over or the 14x1lh

AK74 factory rifles, kits, barrels, and mags are crazy money now. I sold all my AK74s so I could pay off debt and buy a couple machine guns. I still have my 5.56 AKs for now.

Bingo. Came in wearing a crappy poly side folding stock that wasn't cut for AK mags so it was almost impossible to seat a mag. No one wanted it so I had to grab it.

This particular specimen is circa the good old days, when Wideners sold WASR10s with the bayonet for $299..... Tapco trigger is very nice.
