I didn't see any new bump stops, those fast travel shots looked like they were bottoming out the shocks.

The "stock" truck would have walked all over the lifted ones if they would have used the factory rear locker

Ya next week should be interesting to see what they choose. I've been thinking about doing full underbody armor myself and I'm currently rocking the Kenda Klever M/Ts

lol yeah I feel like my knowledge level on the topic is similar to theirs this season, which is not a compliment to either of us.

We all weren't born with the knowledge. I myself have just gotten into offroading when I bought my Tacoma. I'm still learning as well. I watch a lot of offroad stuff (mainly 4wd 24/7 from Australia) and go out with my friends who know more than I do.

They also admitted that it helped and that they were wrong when they finished their run.

Yup. Goes to show you to do your own research and not listen to those that obviously don't know what they're doing haha

Yeah I’m kidding around. I’m a total newbie myself. It’s been kind of refreshing that they don’t seem to know everything because that’s just how I feel.

Car culture is a weird thing. So many different fields. Some only know specifics and history but have no mechanical know-how. Others have the mechanical knowledge but only care about one automaker or one use like Muddin. Then there's drifters, drag racers, road racers, off-road, rock crawling, rally and whatever else there could be. I fall in the category of knowing a little about everything and I'm an expert in nothing. Time and money being the limiting factor.

Agreed. I'm not even sure that they are using low range either, seems like they have no control on that concrete pipe course.

Yep. Running around in 2 wheel drive won't get you far even with fancy tires and a lift.

I'm a firm believer of full sending when you have traction and riding it out when you don't. Only time that hasn't worked was on a 50deg+ graded hill with no ruts to dig into.. I just kept slipping

I agree, I think they're not using 4-Lo yet because it's very herky jerky and with an auto 4-Lo it should be smooth and very controlled

I am shook that neither team is using their Lockers on the obstacles.
