 Wonder of how much of the 3rd gen Tundra will make their way to the 4th gen Taco?

Offset pusher fan on the condenser. Note the lack of recovery hooks on this TRD Pro model, though there appear to be threaded holes on the crossmember:

Aluminum spindles. Wheel bearing bolts have been flipped with the head on the inside. Wonder if the nub on the outer tie rod is another steering stop?

4-link rear axle officially revealed. Note the fully boxed frame and little shin guard in front of the shock resi:

Note earlier spy shots show an electronic parking brake built into the rear calipers:

I am glad Toyota is finally entering early 2010s! :D

Those shocks are a joke if they want to have them on the PRO package, it’s not worthy to compete with Raptor/TRX. But bet you it’ll cost the same.

Didn't Toyota plan to merge their truck platforms to a single "universal" one?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_New_Global_Architecture

by that point of view, the tacoma and tundra will share a lot?

Yep, one readily visible characteristic is the Tundra going back to 6 lugs. And there's a real danger the 4th gen Taco will become a bloated whale.

Toyota might adopt a "one pedal mode" similar to the Bronco Sasquatch pkg to further dumb down the driving experience :p

Anyone has any recommendations regarding transporting one or more kayaks? I'm thinking of getting one or two for general splashing around and fishing with my son. I'm thinking towards a full (high) rack over the bed,
but I want to leave my options open to put a canvas top on (under?) later. I see that softopper makes 'canvas racks' which, and I quote, "Turn your vehicle into the ultimate overlander" - so that will give me at least +150 broverlander points,
but they are also eh, fscking expensive ?

Please, oh wise ones, edumecate me......

    btw: DCSB, auto.

Sounds like you could use something like this.

Also chances are your kayaks wont be that long so you could do the cool way, with a roof rack

You can get racks locally that do the same thing and are cheaper. But still expensive. Everything related to tacos and hobbies is expensive

Maybe something like this would work? I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult to retrofit on whatever rack you got. It’s $200us/set from mopar, but there may be some cheaper aftermarket ones.

Here is my kayak test fit from a couple months ago, forgot I did this.

It was a bitch to get up there because it's so awkward to lift.

Basic sit-on-top 10ft fishing kayaks similar to this one Bought them 3-4 years ago on sale for $400 at Sail. Nothing fancy but they do the job.
